Who in this drafts projects as the best NT and lets say Cody out of bama doesn't come out this year. Is our heir apparent already on the squad in Starks. I personally think that we need to Draft a youngster and let Fergie teach him up for a year b4 he takes the middle.

And is there a later round prospect that is a good fit for a 3-4 DE for depth purposes. Vonnie is getting older and if Starks moves to NT we are down to three DE's not to mention you can never have to many D linemen especially in a 3-4. And the reason i say late round is because i feel that the first 3 or 4 rounds will be used to sure up the linebacker level and the secondary and defiantly get some O line depth.

So who in this draft is our future NT and who is a guy we could grab late to add depth at DE?

Ron Brace out of Boston College is a NT that I'm a huge fan of.
here's a little info i found on your man Ron Brace after i googled his name...i like his size at 6' 3''..324 lbs..... Named to the 2008 Outland Trophy Watch List...enters senior season as all-star candidate and the core of BC's defensive line...awarded All-ACC honorable mention honors in 2007...ranked third on the team with 7.5 TFLs, recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks ...finished the season with 27 total tackles (14 solos)...recorded two tackles in the Champs Sports Bowl against Michigan State, helping to keep BC's bowl-game win streak alive with a 24-21 victory...at the ACC Championship against Virginia Tech, registered three tackles (one solo) and assisted on a tackle-for-loss...recorded his seventh TFL of the season, resulting in a loss of five yards in the defensive outing that held Miami to 281 yards, giving BC it's 10th win of the regular season...put together a season-high four total-tackle performance (three solo) and a TFL in game at Maryland...combined for two assisted tackles and his fifth tackle-for-loss on the season in game against Florida State...assisted on a tackle in defensive outing that kept Virginia Tech within range to stage a BC fourth-quarter come-from-behind win...got to Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen for a sack that lost eight yards, giving him 2.5 sacks on the season, a career high...assisted on a sack and combined for two total tackles, including a TFL for five yards in solid defensive performance against Bowling Green...combined for two total tackles, including a TFL in win over Massachusetts...compiled a total of two tackles, one solo, in performance against Army...recorded first sack of career, causing a loss of seven yards in win over Georgia Tech...also had three solo tackles on the night...made a solo tackle, a TFL for four yards, in win over NC State...got the start and registered two tackles in the season opener vs. Wake Forest.

In your particular scenario, it's hard to predict exactly where in the draft the Miami brass will address the NT position...I'd venture to guess it won't be the 1st round either way...

Brace, B.J. Raji, Terrance Taylor, Al Woods (should he declare), Terrence Cody (should he declare), Vince Oghobaase, etc...would all be candidates IMO...

As far as later round depth at DE...I'd look at potentially prospects such as Demonte Bolden / Tennessee..... Dorell Scott / Clemson...... Ziggy Hood / Missouri, etc...all as possible depth. They all have the height that Parcells wants in his DE's..

peria jerry we could get in the late 2nd or early 3rd... hes out of missisippi..
cody is obviously the best, hes 380lbs of beast... he's not fast, but quick enough to get around G's and Centers...
cody will probably be taken by indy late in the first round, as a reach pick...
terrance taylor is a DT, i dunno if he's big enough to be our NT...
NT is just as rare as finding a Qb... it's gonne be hard.. starks is a 4-3 DT, not a 3-4 NT, he is amazing though.

The 2nd from WAS or our 3rd, we need the fattest, meanest, freakiest HOG available....for our 3-4
Is there anybody other than Cody with that kind of Bacon?

IMO they'll look for a NT like they did in dallas: late rounds.

The formula was used again in miami, look at donald thomas or kendall langford... they'll try to identify a physical freak who needs a little coaching, groom him behind ferguson, give him playing time in 09, and make him the starter by 2010... that's my whole take on our NT situation
