After seeing the lack of holes for Ronnie and lack of protection for Pep, I wonder if we need to make a move on the Oline. Whether is is a player for player trade or even using a draft pick, we have to make a move to salvage this season! It doesn't appear McKinney or Toledo will return and I am far from convinced that Jacox is the answer. So, do we allow our RB and QB to get beat up(physically and confidence)and just sack up the season, or do we bring in someone thats an actual upgrade? We don't have the personel to succeed on our current roster.

Let's draft all offensive linemen & linebackers next year.

At some point, we've gotta find some quality OL & a LB who can blitz.

Sad to say it, but we already made a couple of additions last week. Different players, same results...

I think that we have made too many moves on our O-Line which is why we are struggling now. If we just left the line alone from last year we would be much better. That line was starting to get much better and then we tear it apart.

Agreed 100%. I've noticed that too, it seems each year we are re-building the oline.

Too many moves?????? We brought in ONE guy and switched McKinney and Hadnot. :shakeno:

Now on the other hand I would hate to give up a pick for a teams backup ala Dave W.

Berger will be back this week, doubt he starts but he may help.

Good call, and I agree. I think moving Hadnot to C was a mistake, especially after the way they started to gell at the end of the 2005 season. It sucks that we've had to deal with a number of injuries, but that's something we should have been prepared for. Making all of these changes has put us back to square one, and we're stuggling as a result.....

I'm all for a rebuild, but only when the players coming in are significant upgrades. Shelton / Anderson are terrible, and Carey has been a waste in my opinion. I think it's time the Phinz spent some money this off-season, and bring in some proven talent up front. The OL has been one of our biggest weaknesses for years....

Maybe that's alittle harsh, but after what we're seeing right now, it can't get much worse.....or can it???...

thats the sad part. we dont have 1 LB that can blitz. our best blitzer is our S Bell.

Carey was getting all kinds of props from the coach and the papers this morning.
"- I was totally blown away by Vernon Carey's play. He owned Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch all day. Carey has really improved. I guess Saban wasn't blowing smoke when he said Carey was the team's most consistent offensive lineman."

Sometimes I think in terms of pass protecting the Dolphins would be better
off going to Best Buy and purchasing five refrigerators and stick them in front of Culpepper and he would have more time!:boohoo:

I'm not sure if that praise is warranted, but who am I to judge the coach??.... None of the OLman have been very good in my opinion. Considering the Titans defense has one sack in each of their first two games, and then got five against us, tells me something is seriously wrong, everywhere....

I don't think Shelton is an up grade at LT by any means. I find it telling we ran right behind a guy we just signed about 90% of the time, when the money is heavily tilited to the left side.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I think signing a guy like Hutchinson would have drastically improved the o-line.(no duh) Those guys usually don't make it to free agency unprotected.
