I gotta give a big clap and game ball to the O-Line. Very good game by them and Ronnie Brown.

yea oline stepped up.....ronnie did pretty good too, but this should be an average game for him, not his standout game.....

OLINE made that change Mcintosh and Shelton switching positions.

But then again we were playing the worst RUN defense team in the league...

I think it was a combination of both things...having Shelton at guard IMO plays more to his strengths... McIntosh isn't a great LT, but he is decent, and good enough to get the job done, especially when Harrington gets the ball out quickly... I agree with the original poster that today the game ball goes to Brown and the Oline...

This was by FAR AND AWAY the O-line's best performance this year. The shelton /mcintosh switch seemed to make a world of difference. That was possibly the best performance I have seen from a Miami O-line since Ricky's breakout 1800+ yd season. Shelton should have been playing guard since the start of his career. I never thought I would say this, but, Shelton looked AWSOME!!

I agree... Shelton's strength and body size make him more of an ideal guard IMO... I think this switch will benefit Hadnot and James (or whoever is in the LG spot) because Shelton is better suited to take on larger interior defenders as opposed to smaller/quicker DE's... if James has to worry less about helping Hadnot and Shelton, he may be able to focus more on protecting the left side of the line... I really hope we continue to have success along the oline like we did today...if the oline can even just play well (not great, just well) the offense should begin to start rolling (especially Ronnie Brown)

I've been hating the O-Line all year but I'll be happy to say that between last week and this week they have been doing really well. Ronnie has had some really nice holes to run through and its helped with the run game finally clicking. I just dont understand some of the play calling.

In all of this choaticness going on around here... I haven't seen it mentioned. The O-line let up ZERO sacks.

I wasn't aware of that.

The line must be consistent

To be consistent, they need continuity...if you have even ONE player on the line not doing what they are supposed to, it affects the trust and chemistry of the other four... lacking a consistent RG (due to injuries) has really hurt this unit from jelling, as well as playing Shelton out of position (I've always thought he would do better as a guard)...if Saban and Houck stick with the current arrangement of linemen, I think this unit will improve every week and eventually do quite well...
