I have only seen part of 1 game but we all know the O-line changes come as no surprise. But I was hearing here in the forums that Carey was getting better at LT, so why is he involved in the switch? I believe he moves to RT, and Damion Mac goes to LT now, which bumps MacDougal to second RT. Was Carey also underperforming despite what I have read? Or does somebody play better at LT or RT or something?

just gotta let houck do his thing. i dont think anyone here has the credentials to question him.

True that.

Yes.. i believe that Houck will figure this thing out.... It may take time though... I hear that talent isnt the problem, but mental toughness.... man if they're getting blown by... isnt that attributed to talent? i think we have adressed alot of positions .. we need to seriously address the line in the draft.

By the by... hows Alabi doing?

I don't care if Carey plays LT, RT or C....As long as we win. At least Saban has enough sense to know when something isn't going to work!!! Unlike coaches in the past. Hell they should all know how to play different positions on the line. You think old BB in New England doesn't have guys trying out different things.

In Saban I trust....:D

I'm not sure anyone at all has the credentials to question him.

I think since Carey was playing so well at LT Houck decided to move him to the right side of the line were McDougle had been struggling. Hopefully McIntosh can do a good job at LT.

To me, this would be the best starting 5 for the o-line.

LT-Carey
LG-James
C-Hadnot
RG-Middleton
RT-St. Clair

I think it's:

LT -- McIntosh
LG -- James
C -- Hadnot
RG -- Middleton
RT -- Carey

This from Monday practice:

• Even with the changes along the offensive line  Damion McIntosh was running as the starting left tackle  Frerotte was often under heavy pressure from the defensive front. On at least two plays, had it been full contact, Frerotte likely wouldn't have gotten the pass off. And on another occasion, RB Ricky Williams ran directly into the back of a jammed-up line of scrimmage.

Ok thank you. That's what I was wondering.

Well you took my question the wrong way obviously. It is curiosity. I am wondering if anybody knew anything else about the situation. There are often many posters in this forum who know a lot about football (I know a fair bit, but they can often help me understand more) who give good ideas about what is going on.

Let's get this straight though:
I am not questioning any of our coaches, especially the guru Houck!!!!

I was only wondering if anybody knew more about the changes than I did.
