I didn't see the Fins/Steelers game...but from all the whining on this board it doesn't sound to good.

Anyway...I was hoping to read the o-line critique...I forget which finheaven member does it...but I didn't read one yet.

I'm concerned with the individual players...I read that the left side of the line looked okay...is that true?

I enjoyed reading the o-line reports from our previous two preseason games...I was looking forward to reading one on this past game.

Go Fins!!!

Worst Off Line In The Nfl!!!!!!

Garbage paul...don't spit out $hit like this...add value to the discussion or else don't post!!!

Go Fins!!!

They did not look great. I don't have tivo so can't really critique them, but I think just like the Bears game this game film will be saved and used for teaching the oline where blitzes come from and what SHOULD be done to block them. I keep saying that between the Bears and this game all that blitzing will be a blessing come mid-season...

fins o-line

I really thought we were in better shape than what we showed in pittsburgh...

You know what's weird...why the hell is every team blitzing us like crazy...this started last season and is leading into this season.

teams just don't respect our qb's anymore...and we can't run block (just look at last season) which means we can't run the ball so the defenses tee off on our qb's.

we need to hit some deep balls this season...we need to stretch the field and go long.

Go Fins!!!

I think you just answered your own question.

...and yes, our OL is the worst I have seen.

I agree, that we are getting as much pressure as the D can give. But they're doing it because they know our QB's make mistakes then, as they did last year quite a bit. What I don't get is that our O-line is a big one, who you'd think would be hard to move even if unexperienced. I guess not! I still do believe though that as they come together, they can be a tough wall to conquer. Hopefully it's just not to late. I don't like the rebuilding phrase, but it's starting to fit.

our o-line? put the emphasis on the correct syllable and we are "offensive" right now. give them time to gel as a unit and some tutellage time under Houck, and they'll be fine. just don't expect miracles in 1 season. it takes years for an o-line to become a cohesive monstrous unit like KCs.

like san diegos?

The o-line play did backslide last night, but honestly, I think we had been on a bit of an overachieving streak. The whole team just looked mentally "not-there" last night.

The starting O line played good against one of the better defensive fronts in the NFL. They were forming a pocket, but lacked in the run game. They were moving more like a unit. The sack that Frerotte took with the starting line was Mc Michael’s fault; he just let the guy run right by him. Frerotte didn’t have a chance. I think for such a young line they are already showing signs of improvement. The first two games they where more efficient at the run, I think they have been going over pass protection more in practice and it showed against Pitt. There are still two more games in preseason, I think that the O line will be much improved by the season opener.

We found our LT! that is something. Now we just need to find a kevin Mawae, a guy who is tough, tenacious, and holds with authority over refereses everywhere and we are golden. thats all. oh, and having your star TE actually do something would be nice!
