yeah I agree. I don't see them letting him go, but he would be a real nice pickup. He's young and talented.

cross off Stuesie...he's at the end of his career.

Steinbach, Dockery, Manuwai would all fit in good they are all young. So I take it you guys don't watch Steelers games.. Max Starks isnt as good as he was last year.. he's the reason Big Ben is getting killed.

Bring one bring all.

Seriously, a few of those guys will be greatly needed.A great upgrade.

Steinback, Manuwai, Gray, and Womack are possibilities but it's not exactly a bumper crop. We missed out last offseason with Ashworth and Mawae and I hope we don't this year. There's a good amount of LT's in this year's draft though and since we missed out on Marcus McNeill, we have to pick one up or wait another 10 years for a franchise LT like Webb.

Starks has been one of the only bright spots of the o-line. Smith, Hartings, and Simmons have all been hurt or are struggling. Steeler fans have been calling for Trai Essex to start at LT and Chris Kemeaoatu(sp) at RG for a while now.

Another reason they've been struggling is the running game. Parker is having a good season, but he really needs a bruiser to help him out, and Haynes/Davenport haven't provided that for the Steelers. And yes, the O-line struggles because Parker is a speed back, a big o-line like the Steelers (or ours) is built for the power running game, over power the D-line and then the LB has to go up against a 230 plus pound RB.

Is he a guard or a tackle?

I'm too lazy to look it up...

BTW, did he go to Florida?

The new concoction of the OL looked pretty solid yesterday. If they play like that the rest of the season and gel as a unit, I think they'd be pretty good next year, possibly. Assuming Daunte doesn't start next year, which would equal at best 7 sacks a game.

We need a new starter on the interior. I've heard it said before that you can find guards at truck stops but I simply don't think that's the case. We need a dominating lineman in the middle, which I think would pay huge dividends for us. I wouldn't be opposed to getting a C and switching Rex back to guard. Center is obviously very important and wouldn't mind getting a guy with a higher pedigree in there. Love Rex but he might be more suited to guard.

We've been saying this for years, come on now stop neglecting the o line. The most successful teams in this league invest heavily in their o lines. We need to stop being cheap and pay for a good OL. We can't be satisfied with this line, all their previous troubles are not forgotten.

I don't agree. He's a RT and we have Vernon Carey at RT. Steinbach would be a better fit at LG to replace the overrated Jeno James. we can then draft a LT.
