The main reason this team lost today was the horrific play of this O-line. The run blocking, as it has been all year long was terrible. There is never any surge, never any holes to get our RB's into the second level where they can do some damage. The pass blocking which has been good this year completely broke down under the pressure of the Ravens schemes. They were beaten every which way on the passs rush, thru gaps, speed rushes, bull rushes, you name it. The Ravens D made our O line their little biatches today. One of the many areas we need to improve if this team is to make it to the next level.

Although I think that most of the team deserves to share the blame, I think that you make a good point.

Pressure seemed to rattle Pennington and Ricky/Ronnie has little or no holes to run through.

As I've said before....It's embarassing when your Gaurds are being thrown into the Runningback, and, decleating them. AS mad as I was, I just dropped my head and chuckled at that one. That's one of the most embarassing things I've ever seen.

Don't forget the center. There was one play that they replayed on the telecast, showing Ngata tossing Satele like a rag doll.

Painful to watch.

I really hope to high heavan that they will adress the oline , and wrs and dt's in the offseason. Am I wrong here guys?

Agree with all points.

Our 3rd & goal call, IMO, was shameless. We had shown no ability to move their DL backwards yet we ran right into the middle of the heart of their defense. Maybe you do that on 1st down and say, "Why not?", but I thought for the situation it was moronic. Probably wouldn't have given us the W, but they man-upped and we didn't. Message sent & received, apparently.

As much as you're right about the OL not matching the DL of the ravens, could it be because the ravens DL is far superior to our OL? Our team has overachieved all year but when you play a team as good as the ravens, often times you get exposed. I tip my hat to ravens for doing what they had to do to win. I just thought we had our hands full against that DL and it was going to take a perfect game to pull it off and it didn't happen.

i honestly think C, RG, and RT are the weakest links but mainly the interior.

We can't bank on thomas he is a rookie who hastn show nething b/c of his injury. So we need to get a NEW C someone like luigs or unger or the stud from alabama. For RT FA or Draft again. carey will ask for to much money and just puts zero push on his guy.

The bad running plays called did not help. Not sure why they thought thye could run wide against that fast D.

I think that was ND. I could be mistaken. I THOUGHT it was Satale at first, but, I could've sworn it was ND.

ETA; Opening play of the 2nd half. The play flows left. Satale actually blocks nobody. ND is thrown into the running lane. Nice play by ND to stop Ronnie though.

The line in general was at fault. O and D. Could not protect Chad or could not get to flacco. All games start at the line. If you have control of them you win and that is what happen. I don't care if you had Peyton back there he could not have done anything. And on the other side them DB's played great but can only cover for so long. no pressure.

Thats what happens when you need to rely on two backups to stop one of the most dominant nose tackles in the NFL. Surely Justin Smiley and Donald Brown would have fared a little better than Andy Alleman and Ike Ndukwe did. And lets face it folks, Samson Satele isn't quite the player we thought he was after last season, he better bulk up or he can kiss his starting spot goodbye.

As poorly as the line played today though, Pennington still made some very questionable decisions for such a smart veteran. The line collapsed today, and Pennington did nothing to help.
