LT-DMac or maybe rookie
LG-Toledo
C-McKinney
RG-Hadnot
RT-Carey

What do you guys think?

LT - Joe Thomas (1st rounder)
LG - Eric Steinbach (Free Agent)
C - Rex Hadnot
RG - Joe Toledo
RT - Vernon Carey

people are just convinced that Joe Toledo is an NFL starter i guess... ooooooooook, super...

whatever, there better be three new names for this team besides Hadnot and Carey... this line is putrid, and needs a complete overhaul...

Who else you gonna put there? Bennie Anderson, Kendyl Jacox, L.J. Shelton...there's not exactly a good pick currently on the roster.

To think that Joe Toledo is any better just amazes me since he has never played in a meaningful game and only one preseason he got hurt in. I mean anybody can look good in shorts and helmet. This guy has been injured more in the last 5 years than mosy players are in a career. I know some so called expert will chime in and say how impressive he was playing on the oline at Wash for the grand total of 9 games. I truly think the guard of Iowa we just signed has a better chance of making an impact than this walking injury report.

I wouldn't be upset if we took the best LT on the board and still went after an interior linemen in the 2nd round AND still went after a FA interior linemen. Then leave Toledo to fight with Hadnot for the remaining guard spot (yes this means cutting the expensive guard combo of Shelton and Jeno) so Toledo would need to prove he's good and stay healthy.

Miami's short changed the line so often it needs that kind of investment. The Jets are going to be scary in a few years because of that kind of smart thinking with D'brick and Mangold.

Overhaul indeed... The guys we have now suck. I'm sick and tired of watching RB get hit in the backfield on every play. Let's rebuild this line thru free agency and maybe a big 1st round draft pick. :tantrum:

Sounds a lot like Travis Daniels... and Will Poole... and most of our "future stars" on this team.

Would prefer someone other than D-Mac starting but he's servicable and a decent backup. Marcus McNeill could've been there had we not gone for Allen. Joe Thomas looks to be in our range and he's pretty good.

Well with Toldeo we knew when we drafted him that he was injured every year in college, these other players at least were somewhat healthy in college.

I would just love it if we got Thomas and Steinbach on this team. But I dont think Toledo starts over Shelton at RG though.

We need a centre. McKinney and Hadnot arent up to the job. If we tried to sign an ageing centre (Mawae) last season offseason, it doesnt say too much for the current incumbents.

If we could improve at LT as well, we would be on the way. Drafting rookie Joe Thomas in the first round could give us a cornerstone to build the offense on.
