If our o-line is so bad, and many of you think it is, doesn't acclaimed coach Hudson Houck deserve some of the blame? People seem to think he turned water into wine in San Diego, so then why hasn't he done the same here? My guess it has a lot to do with the talent or lack of that was left to him by the infamous Spielman/Wannstedt think-tank. I don't mean to be negative after a big win, but when people start bashing on Ronnie Brown, that inevitably turns into bashing on the offensive line and ultimately there needs to be some kind of answer for that.

The O-Line isn't that bad. We played against the #1 rush defense in the league today. They were just on their game, not to mention were on our 3rd or 4th RG and a new LG. The past 2 weeks aside from today the line has gotten Ronnie a ton of yards. They will go right back to being good when we play Detroit.

Not at all. Today, people are bashing Ronnie Brown correctly. I saw the game again to see what was the deal and saw that, first MIA started from the get go from the shotgun. And pass protected superbly.

Then, when they handed the ball off to Ronnie in the 1st half, the OLine opened a big hole on the left side twice and Ronnie just went to the right side and ran right into Carey and Shelton, both times!

Then, Ronnie went left and twice Chambers missed his blocked and the CB tackled Ronnie for minimal gain.

Then, when Ronnie "finally" hit the right hole, one of the LBs zeroed in on him and tackled him.

I think that MIA needs to put in the FB for Ronnie to run behind. That LB would've been blocked by the FB and Ronnie would've had a few more yards on that run.

But all in all, it was not the OLine that sucked...it was Ronnie. Today anyway.

listen to thwe postgame interview, saban put all the blame on the OFFENSIVE line

Losing James and having to start Jacox definitely hurt us. And just because the o-line played well against Chicago and KC doesn't mean that we have a great line all of a sudden.

We still need talent. And the o-line is still the weakest link on this team. I'm happy that they've gone from bad to mediocre to maybe even good. But we need to upgrade the talent we currently have at LT and we need a true Center who can take charge of the offensive line on the field.

We have plenty of talent at the Guard position, we just need some consistency. And Carey seems to be coming into his own at RT.

Give Houck some talent to work with for chrissakes!!!

Rex Hadnot was getting mauled by the Vikings Kevin and Pat Williams. Hadnot needs to stay at guard. He doesn't have the speed and ability to get out on blocks from the center position. Combine that with the fact that McIntosh, Shelton, Jacox and Jeno James are nothing more then journeymen types and then you see why our o-line is only average even on it's best days
