We out-weigh the saints D-line here is the stats:

5 on 4- Our front five against their front four: we have a 399lbs. advantage

5 on 5- I evened it up by adding one of their LB and we have a 149lbs. advantage

6 on 5- Then I added fasono which makes it 6 on 5 which gives 399lbs. advantage

6 on 6- I added their MLB and gives us a 169lbs. advantage

I added the saints front seven and got 1903lbs.

I added the OL, FB, and 1TE and got 2072lbs.

WE have a total of a 169lbs. advantage 7 on 7

we usaully run with 2TE so we have a 493lbs. advantage

The run game is key it takes the pressure off Henne and keeps brees on the sideline

I dont think us scoring is the problem

Saints D is better against the pass than us (which doesn't say much) and their run D is 5th in the NFL allowing only 83 yds per game. They held the Jets to 10 points. I wouldn't take it for granted that we'll score easily and often. Henne had an absolutely terrific game and I hope he can continue.

its gonna be stopping Brees

I totally agree with you here. That has really got me worried!

I don't know how much weight can be put into holding the Jets to 10 points. The Bills just held the Jets to 13 points after giving up 38 to us. When the Jets scored 27 on us 21 was significantly helped by 2 fake punts and a poor pass interference call.

As far as being 5th in the league in rush D that is not surprising considering the Saints are winning by an average of 19.8 ppg. I think the main thing is just not to turn the ball over and our offense will do well.

we are not going to stop him, we could hope to slow him down

Falcons D is actually good this year, who would of guessed.

Buffalo held the Jets to 13 at their own house. Our defense has to get SOME stops and our offense has to score TD's not FG's and we win.

People get way too caught up in the weight of a player. We have had 350 lb linemen come through our doors who couldn't block worth a lick. So weight doesn't really matter.

In Nick Saban's last year Miami had the 3rd or 4th heaviest O-line in the league, and they sucked.

It's the strength these guys have added that is a lot more important than weight. Lousaka Polite is blocking like a Lorenzo Neal in his prime. A total stud.

Joey Haynos is a TE we have who is 6'8 and 270 pounds. He has also been blocking like a machine this year and his improved strength is quite noticeable (he wasn't moving people last year like he is now and he had the same weight).

Fasano's blocking has really improved as well. And he certainly has looked more buff this year with hitting the weight room all off season.

All I heard about was Jake Grove really getting a lot stonger in the weight room since he came over. Jake Long looks a lot more solid this year as well, just look at his shoulders and traps in his interviews during training camp- he did not look like that last season.

And we can go on and on and on down the list. I think it has a lot more to do with the very good off season training program we have now since Parcells has come to the organization.

Along with adding the NY Giants O-line coach this year who has improved their technique on the field.

More strength and better coaching is the difference.. Not any weight advantages we may have..
