O/Line Player skills or coaching?

Wanny's current cronie coaches are very questionable. Wise and Armstrong have been failures along with Wanny in Chicago.

Our best years on offense, success-wise was under Chan Gailey's scheme. What did Bumstead think by putting in a rookie as our Offensive Coordinator this season? Hell, why have Trestman on our coaching staff?

-Jimmy Johnson quit on us after he was embarrassed. Kippy Brown?
-Ricky quit on us for a bag of weed, and to tour with Lenny. Smoke it you got it!

Marino was very smart to back out of his figurehead role, and wait for major changes to take place first before assuming a more prominent role in the organization.
sometimes I wonder if Marino backed out because he wasn't given the power to fire Wanny right away. You know he still holds a grudge.

i've been waiting for wannstedt to produce for 5 years now. and this is what it's come to??? we have 1 playoff win like 4 years ago. the time for patience is over. this organization is a joke.
unfortunately he's right about the growing pains and being patient-SPIELMAN is working on rebulding this team and especially the O-line-we have to be willing to at least give him a chance now that he has final say on personnel-Wannstedt will be gone at the end of the year regardless barring a miracle and we'll be glad the ugly work was done now-looks like we'll just have to bite the bullet to '05 and be happy for a decent draft spot-hope AJ does something or losing that 2nd rounder will seem painful...like losing 2 first rounders in consecutive years for Ricky...that F@*k

Look around the league. There are some teams (Patriots for example) that have horse sh$% talent on the offensive line. Look at the Dolphins offensive lineman...McCintosh was a first, McKinney, Whitley and Smith were thirds, Carey was a first...IT IS THE COACHING!!!

Wanny brought in his cronies from Chicago. Larry Beightol was a good offensive line coach considering when he was here we had no talent. Mike Westoff was perhaps the best special teams coach in football. George Hill was a damn good defensive coordinator....

They were ALL let go or quit because of Wanny. I did'nt want to turn this into a "bash Wanny" post but, it always seems to end up that way...

Every choice he makes turns into a disaster....giving Fiedler all the reps in preseason, not deciding on who is playing where on the O-line, drafting Eddie Moore (where exactly is he?...getting his *** kicked in a bar again:roflmao: ), bringing in his buddies to be on his staff (after they ALL failed in Chicago), drafting Jamar Fletcher, drafting Ben Kelly, running Ricky into the ground, NEVER adressing the offense even though it was a disaster for years....it never ends...

Wanny may be a good guy but, I WANT HIS HEAD ON A PLATE!!!:fire: The Bears are still trying to recover from what he did to them...

He is running this franchise into the ground....I may be saying a bunch of stuff that has already been said but, it's my post and I can cry if I want to:yell: ...

I love this team....FIRE WANNY NOW!!!!! Give Trestman the interm tag, let him boot Chris "I am obviously overmatched weekly" Foerster to the curb and let Sullivan run the offense....

And while we are at it....lets just take Tony Wise out back and put him out of OUR misery...

Ok...I'm done...

and you can't reeally judge O-line players til they jell as a unit-Wannstedt still hasn't picked half his offensive starters

dude-good post-much better than prozac-consider yoga

Wade Smith is not an NFL starter. Whitely is very so-so. The rest have talent, but the play calling is coaching. How many times did Cincy blitz last night? Almost every down? And our coaches don't make any adjustments?

It has to be the coaching. We have talent on this o-line, they just arent well led (aside from Wade...I had faith in him but I realized he sucks unimaginably). I say we fire Wise and give the o-line coach from UM a try, Kehoe I believe his name is. He always seems to assemble solid lines and could IMO do a better job with the talent we have than Wise. Also, this has to be Wanny's last year as a HC....bringing him back as the DC would be fine, but we need a new HC badly.
