"I don't know. There's a guy named Nick Saban you could ask," said Mare, referring to the Dolphins' coach. "I've got three years left on my deal, and until they tell me don't show up ...

"It's a business. If they don't want me here, it will be obvious. If they didn't want me here, they wouldn't have brought me back or kept me.

"There's a word called speculation, and sometimes I think that's overused."

He better start worrying about making his kicks, or that contract he's clinging to will no longer be on the table. Mare is without question on the hot seat, and he knows it. What bothers me is how he's reacting, he seems completely unphased by the current "speculation" of his future with the Phinz. He doesn't seem to care about it one way or the other. At least that's the impression I'm getting from reading that aritcle.....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Saban should take a page out of Parcells book a coach who has won a super bowl and cut his a** and send a message This guy has killed us all year.

Don't ever expect Nick Saban to be as brutal or blunt as a Bill Parcells. Nick is entirely too political for that. And while I believe that Nick Saban has the potential to be a great coach, I hate his lack of directness. With all due respect to coach Saban, after "the Mustache", anybody would have been an upgrade.

he really comes off sounding arrogant in that interview. I hate him even more now. You would think he would say I gotta improve etc., etc. He's a jack***. Send his butt packin' quick!!!!!

mare sucks..misses any kick that has meaning or that we actually need to win a game....

unreliable as ever, and thats not good for a kicker... and at his age he aint gonna start improving.

also i really dont like his attitude, hes far from a team player...and seems to give up hope early in a game.

Does that suprise you? This is the same guy who, a few years ago, said that he didn't need to practice kicking off of the dirt in the stadium.

Can his contract be re-negotiated to be the veteran minimum, with incentives for each kick he makes? Maybe missing all those kicks would bother him a little more if his pocketbook felt them.
