Ok, so we know we need a qb of the future, so here's how I see it. We know what we get with Joey, a guy who can't win (has never won in his career), who throws too many picks. He is also a guy who can't throw the deep ball.
When Daunte is healthy and mobile he is a dominant player. He looked terrible this year, but he isn't healthy mentally or physically. Daunte has a cannon as an arm, and he has a large upside. Next year our three Qbs are Lemon, Daunte, and our 1st round draft pick. Many have been saying not to waste a 1st rounder on a qb, but it's the most important position on the field, and the one we need the most. If Daunte plays well at the beginning of next year, keep him in and develop our young talent until Daunte isn't dominant, or he is ready. If Daunte sucks again, then half way through the season you put in the rookie QB and let him learn. We need to draft O-line in the 2nd and third round to protect our investment in round one. The secondary sucks, but I would rather have our secondary suck than our entire offense.
We need to develop a young QB, we haven't drafted one since Marino. Look where drafting one got us, and look where we have been since he left. Most of the time FA Qbs are another team's trash.

dont worry, youre not the only one that has noticed this. It is so hard to believe that year after year our main proble is QB and when the draft comes around we never do anything to get a new one. I know AJ Feeley was definately worth giving up Reggie Brown (the guy Philly took with our pick) because he is back on the Eagles and they got him for free. ;)

daunte was not ready physically and mentally to play right now, but he was still playing as good if not better than joey

daunte will come around and be the quarterback we traded for

as for the first round if we do pick a qb i hope it isnt quinn i just dont think he is as good as people think he is

there is noway that we keep dc and draft a first round qb. if draft a first round qb, it will be joey who is here and dc who is gone.dc makes way to much money for us to keep him and then pay another huge salary to a rookie qb.it doesnt make since.
now im all for a 1st round qb.lets end the qb question mark with this team for the next ten years

Why would we draft a QB, in this case when we have three that could leave Miami and start on a couple of teams around the league, and make something happen. I say QB is not as big of an issue as last year, this is apart of the phins rebuilding stage.
-There's no way you can say that Joey has not come through and played.
-C'pep everyone knows he shouldn't have been on the field.
-Cleo, has proved his self to me, even though it was only preseason but there's something there with this kid.

We better not draft a qb. You people think QB is really the problem? O-line? Secondary? Dropped Passes? McFly! HELLO! McFly! ANYBODY HOME! (Some of you will get that.)

just because we will have a high pick dosen't mean there is a qb that will be of franchise quality i don't see any this year that seems to happen to us twice now you gotta take best player avaliable of need like we need lineman linebackers corners ss saftey i've been wanting a bad azz center for a while now i wanted mangold but not top ten we need to trade down and aquire as many picks as possible we need an infusion of youth on this team but mostly what this team needs is to run the ball if we run the ball for success it will open up the passing game big time and we need to send our recivers to catch the football school:sidelol:.....i wish i could sit down and talk wit saban and co. and see what they thinking i don't know if it is bad luck...no it can't be cause these guys have been droping the ball for years and then we draft hagan which i thought maybe the combine drops were a fluke but he has proved them right just what we neede another reciver who drops the football

You refer to Joey as being "a guy who can't win" and Daunte as a "dominant player" yet Daunte has been surrounded by some incredible talent during his career and is a "losing" quarterback. How is it that a "dominant" quaterback can't lead his team to consistent wins when he has had one of the best OL in football and possibly the most talented WR the NFL has ever seen?

His teams record when Daunte starts is 1-3 this year, 2-5 last year, finished 3-7 in 2004 and have a 28-43 record in his last 71 starts. Yet you say Joey can't win but Daunte is a "dominant" player. Exactly, what is your definition of a dominant player?

Can we just give Daunte more than a quarter of a season on a bum knee before we throw him out?
