Oddity About Our Coaching Staff?

Our Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, & Defensive coordinator all were previously position coaches. Every team I can think of has at least NFL coordinator experience or NFL head coaching experience at one of those positions? Is this an NFL first?

They actually list Flores as a linebackers coach/Defensive play caller, but not coordinator. I guess Belichick is considered the coordinator.

Bellicheat doesn't name them as coordinators until later supposedly to protect them from criticism.

I think the main thing is Flores has called plays before on defense and Caldwell was a HC. We'll see how things work out tho. Now that most of the staff is in place we'll see what they do about players.

I think I remember reading somewhere that they are not given the "Coordinator" title in NE until they have done the job for a year to prove they have earned it.
