Odds to win the SB

What were the odds for the Patriots one year ago? The oddsmakers are not always the place to go for reliable answers. Actually no one has reliable answers at this time of year.

The bet of the year, and the bet that will make me shake my gambleing prohibition is the Chargers at 45-1. They probably wont but with those odds it is good bet. I think i might throw soemthing small like 100 on it. I mean think about it, they already have a very good lb and dl core, they added the CB they needed with Jammer, they added the o-line help they needed with Fonoti, and the WR with Caldwell. If Brees can play smart and let Tomlinson carry the team, they have a shot. They look very similar to the Ravens and Pats when they won. I don't want it to happen but i like 45-1.

I was in Vegas last week and got the FINS as 4 to 1 to win the AFC and 8 to 1 to win the Super Bowl.

Now sit back and get ready to collect my 120 in January

FEIDLER SIGHTING!!!

I was also in VEGAS last week and I saw the one and only JAY FEIDLER there! I said hi to him and he was actually pretty cool!! He was real down to earth! If he even knew how bad I lambasted him on this website he would have probably kicked my ass!! Anyhow that's the odds I saw! (DJ'S) Prior to the Dolphins acquisition the PHINS were 15 to 1 to win the BIG SHOW and 10 to 1 to win the AFC! A BIG BACK MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE but I don't want to be PAPER CHAMPIONS!!! I want the REAL DEAL!!!

They deffinitly have some talent with a little injury luck they are most likely a contender in the afc. At least less than a 45 to one shot. I get a nice bonus in june, i may have to pay a visit to the seminole casino. PLEASE no one tell my girlfreind.

Problem with San Diego is the Head Coach......Marty I can't win the big game Schottenheimer

I think the HUGE problem in San Diego is QB, WR and Oline. Are you saying you think Flutie is a Super Bowl QB? I sure don't. Brees hasn't proven he can do a lick over 16 games in the NFL. I know Brady did it lasy year, but how many times can lighting strike? Brees is a HUGE ?uestionmark right now.

Granted they got a little better in the draft at Oline, but they still have WAY more questions there than we do, and less talent.

WRs are weak. Conway is solid, but after him what do you have? You cannot count on a rookie WR(Caldwell) to put up numbers, you just can't. Any FF player will tell you playing a rookie is a mistake! lol

Is it possible for them to go to the SB...well anything is possible, but I wouldn't look for them to be in it, not at all.

But, anything is possible!

I think SD will be a SB contender in a few years when Tomlinson and Brees will be more progressed already. The only problem with this statement is that Seau is getting older every year, and he will eventually wear down.

Ice, it's not that easy...the roster turnover in the NFL is unrreal. By the time the offense gets ready for a run(if it ever does) chances are some of their older players will already have been cap casualties or will lack the production needed to succeed.

The NFL is a tricky game, I will say that much.

There o-line isnt that bad, and they added Raymer from Washington, and Hallen from Atlanta, and Fonotui on the draft. Wr is decent with Conway, Dwight, and Caldwell, but they all have to stay healthy to remain decent. Qb play will be key, but if you can play good d, and run the ball it takes alot of preasure off the QB. Look at every AFC playoff team except the Raiders for proof. I am not saying they are the team to beet, but I like the odds at 45 to 1. I just think they have a better chance this season than the Pats or Ravens did at the beginning of their SB years.

I have to question their oline aquisitions. Washington all of last season listed the interior Oline as a weakness. Atlanta also had a terrible time inside the tackles. 2 FAs without great pasts is hardly anything to call steady.

Their WRs are well BELOW average. What has Dwight ever done? Never played 16 games, that's for sure. Caldwell is a rook, and WAY more times than not, they DO NOT produce in their rookie years.

Good defense tho, and we all know, that can keep you in a lot of games.

Like I said before, anything is possible, but SD in my opinion has way to many holes on offense to be legit contenders.

Funny, the offseason.....why are we talking about SD???? hehehehe nothing better to do i guess!

I agree with you on the fact that although SD has a quality defense, they've got a few holes on offense which will have an effect on the team. Now, I agree that they're offensive line will be much improved with the addition of Fonuti. Not to mention the fact that they've got a superb, pro bowl RB in Tomlinson. It will take Drew a 1 or 2 years for him to be fully accustomed to the rigors of the NFL. Having that slight weakness at QB, I believe that San Diego will win possibly 9 games, but no more than that.:eat:
