This one has me wired the tightest.

This includes the 80s Superbowls.

Anybody else stressing as much as me? I'm just worried that Campbell's future may weigh on the outcome of this game. A lot. Now I expect Ross to be lynched if he dumps Campbell, considering that every fan and player worship the guy.

But Ross has made poor moves in the past. And if we miss the playoffs, even by a whisker, I'm afraid he'll make another.

I woke up at 3 AM today (in Ecuador...) and have done nothing today but stay here on Finheaven and listen to WINZ-AM.

Wired up?

OMG...I'm amped for tonight's game! I know in my heart that Miami is going to go out on that field tonight and pop that other f'in team right in their f'in mouths!

It's a big game but i don't think Ross will base his decision on one game. If anything, Ross has shown prudence. The man is patient thinks things through. If he sees the team winning regularly and doing well in general, he's not going over complicate things and bring in someone else. Winning is good for business, and so is a coach that the fans love. If we expect campbell to be retained at the end of the season based on his body of work (which lets face it, still could go either way), Ross will likely see the same thing.

I'm more excited than stressed, but definitely some of both!

The tangible virtues of Campbell as the head coach of the Fins is that he is "eye-to-eye" with the players and inspires them to greatness.

I am more than willing to give a man of such character a full shot at running this team. His virtues as a coach will translate into victories.

I haven't been this amped since the early 90's. It's a mix of excited and nervous. How will this team respond to New England's inevitable punch in the mouth? It's coming. If they somehow pull this game out, we are officially back in the space of NFL relevancy again.

If you are pulling for Dan Campbell and really think he deserves to be the next head coach, I wouldn't sweat this game. We can survive losing this one. I already got this one written off, but I want to see how we grind it out and how we bounce back vs Buffalo. That's what I'm looking for.

The bottom line is that this is the most unwinnable game on our schedule and you know we're not going 13-3. Let's see what Man Campbell can do over 12 games, not just tonight.

You don't make any decisions after this game, win or lose. You let the season play out. By December, we'll know whether Campbell has earned it.
You have to do your due diligence in looking for a new coach, the emotion of the last 2 weeks can't affect a long-term decision.
I'd like to see Campbell get it, but he has to earn it. No flash in the pans, the next Dolphins coach has to be the guy who knows how to win and get this team to the next level.

doesn't it feel different than the usual?
Before... kind of count it as a loss before they even play....
I don't feel that way at all.

I am amped because I want to see if the last two weeks will carry over tonight against one of the top tier teams in the NFL.

I'm a fan and don't worship Campbell. Hope he does well and proves he can lead this team in the future. But he's not the only coach we can win with.

going back to the original post, I think this is the first game in a long time that potentially can mean something for this team.

We haven't seen Campbell coach in a tight game yet. How does he manage the clock, what does he do on 4th downs. Right now, he has brought energy and excitement, but that's not all a coach needs to do.

The biggest game I was amped for was the '85 Bears game when we gave them their only loss. Maybe we repeat that history this year?
