Why would we bench Jenkins? Other than that this is a pipe dream

i was thinking same thing on Jenkins... but he at least would come in on passing downs for McKinney, but I like him at starting OLB.

I'd love to steal a player from the Pats for once.

I'm pretty sure all that will happen just.like that.....lol

Right now I doubt either of those targets in the draft are there, but it's not impossible. Think thinking that we get both is pushing it, probably one or another.

Don't get why in the world you bench our best LBer.

Another year with Hartline starting on the perimeter is disgusting.

McCourty is going to be out of my price range, plus remember that sure thing Jarius Byrd last year...ya that worked out well. I like stop gaps there, like Antrel Rolle, Mike Adams or Louis Delmas. Jackson, Williams and Boling are solid signings.

That's some heavy investment in two DT's...probably going to be Linval money minimum for Odrick and Williams probably between 5-6m. Who's coming in on passing downs? Depth behind those guys is an unknown.

Cutting everyone you're cutting along the OL leaves little to no depth, this team desperately needs depth behind the starters, as we learnt last year.

Not a fan of McKinney and I'd actually like to keep Shelley Smith. He may not be full time starter material but for depth and spot duty I think he's pretty solid.

Don't see us stealing a player from the Pats even if we pay through the nose.

We don't need to replace Jenkins at OLB...that's unnecessary spending IMO.

What happens to your strategy, if you enter the draft with no starting MIKE and a #1 WR of Brian Hartline, and Kevin White goes to the Browns at 12. Then McKinney gets drafted in the backend of the first round to the Packers. Where does that leave us? Hartline the defacto #1, Misi back to MLB. Not good.

What if Kevin White is on the board and we take La'el Collins instead?

Jenkins will be our starting OLB.

Hartline will be brought back at a reduced contract.

Odds on signing McCourty are at least 50 to 1.

Odrick will not be back. Keeping Starks and/or Mitchell is likely.

I have a gut feeling that we are not going to sign a top 2 OG. Not what I want, just what I expect. Negotiating with Pouncey long term I believe enforces that opinion.

I agree with pretty much all of that. Really hope you're wrong about guard but I have the same sense because of the Pouncey talks. Working in our favor is Boling is a Florida native, and Franklin went to the U, it can't hurt our chances if we explore it.

Well...we're the Dolphins, so still probably the most likely outcome.
