Moved the ball well in 2nd half, the pick in end zone was the only reason they didn't have a great 2nd half. 1st half they hardly had the ball, defense was giving up long time consuming drive after long time consuming drive. Granted they looked bad the handful of drives they got but it's tough to get in any rhythm when you're sitting on the sidelines most of the time.

multiple 3 and outs, awful blocking and both the running and passing game was weak for long stretches... thats pretty bad

13 points is not good enough no matter how we try to justify it. The AFC playoff teams were all hanging big points yesterday vs better teams than Jacksonville and we're really going to sit here and protect this offense? It's not good enough right now. I like where we are record wise at this point but but know we're screwed if we can't score with the big boys. I also know the defense will get shredded on Finheaven if we can't.

We could not pass protect. Even the two long completions, the QB had to buy time and throw with guys hanging off his back. That's not a recipe for success.

You couple that with a bad interception in the red zone and you got a bad offense.

OYG, don't blaspheme this sacred board with positive prose over Miami's offense.. that be HERESY! the acolytes hereabouts burn with the belief that only Saints of Shula, are allowed love and affection for gladiator endeavors on the fields of Sunday.. thou are possibly a witch, and shall burn on the unholy Pire of Philbin at seasons end.. or Wk9 loss - awwman

Well....it was pretty bad in the 1st half. Not that we had a lot of opportunities as the defense had trouble getting off the field.....but it was nothing to be proud of.

Looked pretty good in the 2nd half however.

The piss poor play of the offense had a lot to do with why the defense was on the field so much in the 1st half.

What about the fact that 2 INT's were brought back for TD's? The defense was responsible for a 14, 10 and 6 play drives that lead to FG attempts. A 13 play drive that resulted in a nullified FG that led to a punt. The turnover drives, one being 8 plays leading to the pick and then 3 plays leading to the fumble. The offense had 4 drives all half. The 3 and outs weren't pretty, this is definitely an offense that has to get into a rhythm to perform. First 3 and out was that weird illegal formation on Brandon Albert that nullified a first down and put us back into 2nd and long, followed by a sack. Then first play of the next drive Colledge allows another sack leaving us in 2nd and long. Those were drive killers. It took 3 drives to get a great drive together, that's too long, but you usually get 3 drives in the first quarter, not the first half. It was a weird a weird football game. Defense couldn't get off the field, as a result of their playmaking or poor play and the offense struggled to get in a rhythm. We saw in the second half both units raised their play.

No, the fact that the defense alternated between giving up long drives and pick sixes was the biggest reason they were on the field for the whole first Half.

Sunday was a vivid example of the real nature of this team. Call it inconsistent, streaky or average .... this is exactly what we're seeing week to week. From top to bottom, across every unit.

When your offense plays like crap, your defense is on the field a lot. Our O laid an egg in the first half that made the pigeon jealous. You can try to paint that pig any way you want, but our O sucked until halfway through the 3rd quarter.

13 offensive points isn't "that bad" against a 1-7 team now, who knew?

This QB gets wayyyy too many excuses from the fanbase for my liking. We're 40 starts into his career and he's never produced any monster games you see on a weekly basis. Where are the 350 yard outbursts, the 4 TD pass games? All this for a top 10 pick at QB. Not good enough.

Colledge was the reason we struggled in the first half...He allowed two sacks to start the game...Killed 2 drives..

He had migrained and should had taken himself out the game. It only hurts the phins when a player plays with migraines.
