ok...saban has said it. alot of players have said it, including sage himself. it appears the offense that gives this team the best chance to succeed is sage QBing the 2 minute drill. why not do that from the start vs the chargers this weekend? either way we're gonna find ourselves doing it in the 2nd half because we're losing, so why not get an early start and maybe just maybe we aren't trailing all game?
we can make this work vs a team like san diego, who's strength is the front 7 in a base set and not the secondary. we can spread it out and get their LBs off the field, or make their LBs like edwards and merriman play coverage, using motion to read man/zone and also to create mismatches. with the proper mixture of draws, shovels, screens and such i really think we can make it work vs the chargers and steal one we could not win playing str8 up conventional offense.
