It's never too early, or too often to take a look at a breakdown of the Dolphins roster.

Breaking down the roster allows me and you to continuously get a glimpse of how many players - at what position - make the 53-man roster in an ideal world (which means everyone stays healthy, which is a dream scenario). And it also allows you an opportunity to identify holes on the roster, and separate the sure shots (draft investments, possible starters, special teams demons) from long-shots (mostly the leftovers).

Here is my latest depth chart, which includes a breakdown at each position heading into the start of training camp later this month.

We still have a lot of players on the roster at this point and not one real camp battle as of yet. We could be in for some real big surprises.

nice article i just am not sure if i agree with how some of the even money/uphill battles aer gonna play out the way it is stated. fasono even money "if" he gets healthy in time..when parcells nicknames you something like e.r it doesn't sound good..is he going to be ready to start this yr over atleast peele who is more aquinted with this offense at this time? also while patrick cobb is no ricky williams he did okay in his limited role last yr and we may see him get more carrys than the rookie this yr and as long as ronnie comes back full strentgh by the start of the season we may not see either cobbs or the rookie that much. also i see bess beating out kircus(sp) for the fourth spot or we may even see another wr picked up before too long.
