I see the Jags D very similar to that of the Patriots D...
Stout against the run, very little pass rush, and extremely vulnerable vs the pass with a young, inexperienced secondary (Mathis should miss this game)..
This plus the fact that I would like to save the aging Ricky for later in the season. He seemed to be a little sluggish at times against the Pats.
Jags starting cornerbacks are.
Second year man Tyron Brackenridge who has played okay in coverage and rookie Derek Cox who has been terrible this year. He does have two picks on the year though. Their nickel corner is also a rookie, William Middleton. Reggie Nelson has been playing okay and Gerald Alexander is nothing special. This team's pass defense is ranked 23rd. To put that into perspective, our terrible pass defense is ranked right after them at 24...BUT! Jags haven't had to play the Pats TWICE, New Orleans, and played the Colts the first game of the season.
Compared to their pass D, their run defense is ranked 11th.
I think that another air attack for Henne and these receivers would be a nice, continued confidence boost they need after the debacle @ Buffalo.
