Hell yeah it's a concern. We have an opening at LT and LG. It's no secret we're going to have to run the ball consistently well to win games next year. Jake Long, Brandon Albert these are a couple of guys that can solidify our line for years to come. Question is are we going to devote our first two picks on o-linemen?
I doubt it with Parcells calling the shots but I may be wrong.
Our offensive line could finally be solidified this year through the draft.
Do we go defense with Chris Long? or do we build a mean o- line?

LT ? LG? Samson Satele Justin Smiley Vernon Carey

I'd be fine with addressing either the d or o lines with the first several picks we have in this years drafts. Games are won in the trenches, not with the play of skill position players. This team needs a solid offensive lineman to block for Ronnie Brown and whoever will be QB this season and the upcoming seasons. The same can be said for the defensive line, we need a premier defender to bust through the lines and create plays, to hide our weaknesses in coverage.

It starts in the trenches as we all know so I'd be happy with either side of the line being picked..... I prefer Chris Long though:)

I truly believe we take J.Long at #1, which is a huge need for us. Even if he shouldn't be the #1 pick, it's where we're picking & we've got to take him. I do believe we'll pick up another O-lineman later in the draft, probably not til the 6th or 7th, being we've got to address a few other issues in the earlier rounds, such as DL & DB (maybe QB too). Anyway, I believe that after the draft that there will be a few other teams that will be drafting G & T's, who will then cut some vets. If we're quick, we should be able to grab a good starter at a good price.

Go Fins.

Our current left side, or lack there of scares the shhhhh.. outta me =/ I'm sure Bill and Co. will address the problem before our 1st snap tho =)

you keep a young offense in the game with a pressure defense, the defense is the side that they are building first because the best player in the draft is chris long, some scouts think he may be as good as lawerence taylor,

Good as Taylor? Never thought of him that way. Do you think he could end up that good?

i have read articles from NFL folks that say he reminds them of Lawerence Taylor, if chris long is a possible hall of fame type player, you better not be the team that passed on him

yea i read that aswell. It was a guy who worked with Taylor back in the day and has seen alot of film on long and seen him work out in person. Apparently he was blown away! I think it was on NFL.com

Does a bear crap in the woods.... hell yeah i'am concerned

if we got Chris/ or Jake long with the first pick and Brandon albert with the 32nd pick i would be really happy

IMO it's awfully early to be concerned. I have no idea how many O-linemen we will draft, or what other FA linemen will be signed. But I do know that Parcells has a reputation for understanding what it takes to build a football team. I also know that he places a lot of importance in both lines. So unless he shows me otherwise, I've got to believe that, if nothing else we will have a solid O-line and D-line at the start of the season.

yo, man? what is up with all this irrational love for matt roth? i mean, chris long? we don't need him! we need jake long and can we afford to pass up on matt ryan? but please, get off the "non-making-sense" stuff about matt roth at #1...:shakeno:
