Offensive line Is Terrible!

Worst offensive line performance I've ever seen from this team since I've been watching. With the next worse being the Atlanta game 2 weeks ago... Yea, this line if pure garbage. Carey and Columbo have been nothing short of terrible.

Long and pouncey are and will be clearly better than anyone we fielded during the Shameron year, yes. I guess I'm speaking in more general terms, as in an OL that hasn't really been able to dominate the trenches (minus 2002-3 and the 2008 wildcat) for as long as I've been watching the team(approaching 30 yrs).

While I'm high on the talent at LT and C, that's only 40% of our line.

Defying convention once again, Sparano has found a way to make the whole less than the sum of its parts.

Most of us seem to think that last year and this season, our OL has our main problem.

So why draft only one Offensive Lineman in Pouncey and a slower version of Ronnie Brown in D Thomas.

Why not draft TWO OL and have kept Ronnie and Ricky.

The money issue is stupid, if it is 20% true then it was "penny wise and dollar stupid".

We spent 374 Million on a OL that sucks and yet we will not spend 3 million to keep two good veteran running backs who had at least a season left.

What also has semi surprised me is that we allowed a number of young free agent OLineman like RT Ryan Harris sign with the Eagles and did not offer anything.

There were good free agent offensive lineman out there and we waited and got old released players and soon we will pick up players that did not make their team.

O.P.P. Other People Players

This Oline is garbage.. they cant run block for shiitt pfft reggie bush 5 carries -6 yards -____-

Could it be that Tampa's DL is just 'great' or had a good outing?

After all, the scoreboard showed a stalemate (10 to 10) by the time we were rotating our backups.

...just keeping positive

That's Jeff Ireland for you. Completely asleep at the wheel. He and Tony have absolutely no clue how to build an OL. Jake was a pick a vegetable could make, so really, these guys haven't brought in one solid lineman on their own expertise. Columbo? Incognito? Grove? Jerry? Gardner? Garner? Ndukwe? Smiley? Thomas? McQuistan? How many guys do we need to go through?

Part of the problem is that some of these guys were OK, but they just kept tinkering when they shouldn't - the OL was pretty good two seasons ago. Now, they won't tinker when they should.

At least 2007's line was good at one thing- run blocking. That was Ronnie's great year (before he got hurt) and I don't remember it being terrible with him out. They couldn't pass block, but our QB's had no pocket presence either.

This year's line is incompetent at run blocking and one of the five guys manages to screw up on nearly every pass play.

NDukwe, Smiley, and Thomas would actually look pretty good compared to what we have now...

Total 1st downs by the way of rushing tonight was a big 0.That says it all about this Oline.
