I agree. Miami's O-line is MUCH better than previous years. And the good news is that a few of players on the O-line are very young. Miami doesn't need to focus heavily on the O-line in the offseason. Maybe grab one free agent tackle if one becomes available. Don't waste draft picks on the O-line though.

Agreed

I agree but lets give Ronnie credit too cos he's been great picking up the guys blitzing. But I agree that the o-line has gotten better and is not our major weakness at this point.

Ozzy rules!!

Good point!!

The O-Line has been a pleasant surprise so far this season. Now we can focus more on our Secondary, QB, and Linebacker in the draft.

they will only get better too... as they gel as a unit they'll be fine...

heres a cool stat...

--Miami's dramatic improvement in the offensive line continued against New England, as the Dolphins didn't allow a sack in a second consecutive game for the first time since their first two contests in 1999. Even though four of the five starters remain the same from 2004, the Dolphins have allowed just 12 sacks overall as compared to 33 at this point last season

I cant believe how good they are for such a young group.. Next year our O line is going to be prime even if we dont draft an O line man high up

You know what is really sad? While Wanny was here, he focused BIGTIME in the draft on LB and the Secondary, and here we are, still hoping to upgrade both positions.

We still need to continue drafting OL. This is a commitment... not a one time thing. At least 2 picks every year should be used on (1) OL and (1) DL. Not for the sake of find the next starter... but for developing the ranks and building quality depth. Our starters are getting solid... but, what do we have behind them?

And, no matter how "sufficient" we are at LT.... this line is not going to take off until we anchor it with a stud LT.

Let's not lose sight of what we've endured. We have great coaching... we need better athletes.

That's some nice stats. I still think we should draft a LT but not necessarily in the first round unless we get a low draft pick. Could definitely add to guard depth since we have no one under James and maybe a C. Houck is doing his job well.

think about what happened to new england this year? if we lost almost our entire line to injuries, what would we do then? start a whole bunch of street free agents? we need depth.

also, anyone on this site will say that we have the best run tandem in the league, yet why dont we dominate in the run game like kansas city, denver, atlanta, seattle? because they have a good running back and good line. we have good running back and average o-line. think if we had a better line, we could dominate teams with ricky and ronnie.

I could not agree more. I must say that I am shocked at how well our O-line has been playing for most of the year so far. However IMO Houck can only take this group so far...

For R&R to truly shine (as well as our passing game next year - whomever that might be) we NEED a dominant O-line with dominant athletes. It is important to continue to upgrade in this area.

The coaching staff does not commit to the run. Do you watch the games? If not, go to www.nfl.com and look up the game stats. You will find that we are a pass happy team.

Also, if you saw the games, you would see how the offensive line starts to dominate up until the point where Linehans pulls back the reins and decides he wants to get cute and look like a genius.
