Has anyone in the history of the league ever walked into an offseason with an offensive line in as worse shape as ours?

Right now we have a 2nd year LT as a starter. Backup in Seth McKinney who may or may not be able to start. A 3rd round guard from last year who couldn't even get a whiff of playing time and a promising undrafted rookie guard who may end up being a good solid backup.

Pretty scary. 4 starters needed.

No

ahh but you see, it provides nothing but opportunity! We have plenty of opportunity. that means jobs. that means Woody would think of us first before others maybe. that means spielman has to be agressive the first days of the FA. I hear we are already have woody and a few tohers planned on coming in for a visit.

A better question would be.......

Has there ever been a slower linebacking core than the 2003 Jets?

Maybe the 1955 Eagles.

it just got much worse:

FROM KFFL

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have cut C Tim Ruddy, saving the team $2.7 million in salary cap space this year.

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have released OT Mark Dixon, saving the team a little less than $500,000 in cap room this year.

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins have cut OG Todd Perry, saving the team $1.15 million in salary cap space this year.

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign OG Jamie Nails, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent March 3.

wow.
four new starters on the o-line?
that's going to be tough, especially with a relatively inexperienced qb.

GOT WORSE??? that was the shiznick letting go of those guys they suck!! and we also saved money to get better players. sorry to piss on your parade dude but those were great moves by the front office i love it how about the rest of you guys??

Got worse? Did you even read my post

I already factored in that. Although all those guys shoulda got cut last year. Need to get Woody in the worse way and try to get a 2nd first round pick and pick up Vernon Carey. Todd Wade unfortunately needs to be resigned or a suitable RT to replace him. Seth McKinney can fight with a 4th round draft pick at C.

Carey isn't there in round 2. Would be a nice pickup if we got a 2nd round 1 for Ogun. Carey can play OG or RT.

Old news friend, there all being cut or replaced except Cowart. I feel a lot better about 2 new LBs then 4 new OL with a new QB...
