Looking at the lineman yesterday night, I think we obviously could be better but some of those guys looked worse than our o lineman. The thing is, I believe 85% of teams have a trash lineman or two. I really think once Jackson/ Armstead is back we will be o.k. Here is some packers lineman lowlights from Sunday for example

Yeah I mean there’s simply not enough good quality olinemen in the league. If you have 3-4 solid ones you can hide the deficiencies. We just need to keep the solid ones on the field.

Correct. I know there are a lot of PFF sceptics here and I'm not a big fan. But watch Sunday? night games and the PFF grades of starters. EVERY team has one or two ranked in the bottom 20%. Pretending most teams have a great OL is a visit to Lake Wobegon, particularly with many teams playing backup OLmen.

The line was pretty solid when Armstead was in there. It wasn't like Tua was getting bludgeoned. He got thrown down on a late hit and hit the back of his head. Probably happens every game to every qb, but we unfortunately had a case where our guy got concussed. With the Bengals hit, he had plenty of time; just held onto it too long and got rag dolled.

not only they want 4 all pros but all of them have to play like an all pro from the first game they ever play or else, they want that player cut.
I would have settled for 4 average, competent veterans that already know what they're doing. This way you have a half-decent line to start with, and over time you work in the younger guys as they progress and get better.

I refuse to settle on us having a shitty oline like other teams with shitty oline. Conversely, there’s plenty of good line play And I hope we strive to stay in that category

I think we all would, but just not easy to pull off for a variety of reasons. Not too many of those guys hit free agency. Then you have to pay them more b/c naturally a lot of teams want those guys so that's money that has to come from elsewhere. Then they have to want to sign here even if we do offer them above market rate. At that point, you're talking about guys getting into the latter years so injuries become more an issue. We've certainly tried to bring some of those guys in before and they've never really worked out. We brought in Flowers a couple of years ago and he was ok for a bit, but then we traded him and just ate the dead money. In hindsight of course you can say he stunk b/c we're all great evaluator in retrospect, but he was probably considered an average competent veteran.

That kind of reasonable, quantifiable and accurate posting will bring you into the attack sights of the "Lemmings" on this board, - LOL

I think we’re going through a dearth of OL talent and depth league wide and it’s showing up in a lot of games. Any team who has depth at this position group is clinging to it.

From everything I have read following the review of Tuas two hard hits, it is clear that he was not concussed after the 1st hit.
Get your information right!
