If you guys are anything like me you watch a lot of football on the weekends and see a lot of different offensive performances. Watching the fins offense is a tragedy. The biggest knock on Tannehill early on was his inability to hit WR's down the field.... guess what we do? We go out and draft Devante Parker in the first round, a big catch radius wide out who has the ability to go up and high point the football. My biggest knock on Gase is he doesn't use the entire field. We never stretch the D and give guys the ability to make plays down the field. We may take one or two shots a game, but that's not nearly enough. When guys can play you close to the line of scrimmage because they're expecting screen you need to be innovative and find ways to use that to your advantage.

The gripes he has with certain players on the roster will be the end of him. No way in hell a guy we just signed off the street should be getting more reps than Devante, healthy or not, because he's out there. Gase is really hurting his case, it would be one thing if we tried to get him the football, but the QB is never looking his way. It just doesn't make sense to me. No back shoulder throws, no fade routes, no deep post, etc. The WR's typically only catch come backs, screen balls, and drag routes across the field. In today's league you have to be able to go down the field and stretch the defense. If those corners can play press coverage and keep us from being successful in the quick game it gets ugly quick.

His playcalling just isn't the answer. He is way to conservative, it seems like he's outsmarting hisself. There are some guys in here who beg for Drake to get more reps and I agree to a certain extent, but you guys have to look at the whole game. Drake should be used a lot more in the pass game, he's untouchable out there in the flats with a LB on him, but he's also a huge a liability in pass protection, shows no effort, and typically gets blown up by rushers. That won't get it done.

Below I've listed a few things that Gase could do to really help his offense be more efficient:

1. Take more shots down field and get Devante involved despite your bitterness toward each other... work fades and back shoulder... study Rogers and Devante and finding a way to get quick hitters that don't require other players to make a play.

2. Get Drake more involved in the pass game... he struggles pass blocking so create the mismatch by putting him on routes... Tanne needs a check down damn near every play, over the middle and in the flat.

3. Stop with all the screens, our small WR's aren't strong enough to take on aggressive DB's... you're forcing it guy and we get a offensive pass interference at least once a game off of it.

4. Run more zone scheme runs Drake to the outside.... Tunsil and James are both pretty athletic... why not use them to set the edge and get your speed guy out there against DB's.... you know your offensive line struggles with man blocking. Zone scheme can hide that out in space because it's just a matter of the running back finding the alley and getting north/south.

Despite how our defense folded late, we still should've won that game. We forced turnovers and got no points off of them. No points off the punt block either. It's clearly on the offense and Gase should def be on the hot seat because despite injuries and all the other stuff that's went on, he still has enough to be competitive and win ball games. We saw that on Sunday! I encourage guys to put any suggestions for Gase and the offense below, maybe somebody, somewhere will read it and make some changes. SMH

Offensively, I Wish Adam Gase Would.... hire an OC

I agree with all your points. A huge problem is our O-Line has a lot of problems with holding up, I would love to know how much of Gases system is what it is vs he is throwing check downs and Screens because he is protecting a poor offensive line.

design offensive and defensive schemes that utilize the best of the players abilites. Don't ask players to do things they can’t just because on paper they should.
Get the best out of the players you have. Make adjustments during the game on both sides of the ball if the “game plan” isn't working.

Opps ...saw post ? Was just the offensive side... I posted like he was the HC

I wish Gase would give up play calling

Gase needs to apply a simple jolting criteria like, "Every time I consider a pass to someone behind the line of scrimmage, I have to switch off and throw it at least 15 yards downfield instead."

That's it. He would be amazed at how effective that would be. It sounds like you are penalizing yourself but actually you are rewarding yourself. I did that type of thing all the time in Las Vegas. When I was on the verge of making a wager than I knew darn well fit into a low percentage bucket -- like giving high odds on a baseball game -- I would catch myself doing it and force myself to change to a wager that fit within a high percentage bracket, like taking a run and a half in a baseball game, if were are sticking with the same sport.

It almost feels like stealing. You don't even have to admit to anyone how it played out.

Do the right thing

He needs to hire some guys to rip apart film of every rams game the last 2 years and use those plays.

Some people try to re-invent the wheel, Gase tries to re-invent dirt.

Good points.
I will add hitting Gesicki down the seem.
Stop with the short crap to him, it just doesn't work.
