Les Miles #1 ranked Louisiana State University Tigers and Nick Saban's #2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide meet each other again this season, but for the ultimate acheivement in US College Football, as both teams battle to earn the crystal football trophy in the 2012 Allstate Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game in New Orleans. LSU and Alabama met earlier at Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with the Tigers winning in overtime 9-6 in a tightly defensive game by both teams back on November 5.

ESPN will provide multimedia coverage of tonight's game through national cable and radio, and worldwide network internet game streaming. Gametime and kickoff from the Mercedes - Benz Superdome is by 8:30PM Eastern Standard Time.

I noticed at a couple of places the line has moved from LSU -1 to Alabama -1. Not a huge deal as one of them will win it by more than that, but I thought the trend was interesting.

So let's deal with the 800 lb. crimson shaded elephant in the room.

Say Bama wins another close defensive battle tonight. How does the AP vote?

You forgot to mention that LSU won AT Bummer, while Bummer would be winning on a neutral site.

This entire scenario is a scam. The game has zero merit, yet somebody is going to rake in billions by slating it.

Pretty sure I have a few episodes of Star Trek on my DVR. Guess that's what I'll be doing tonight :ponder:

I don't know about you guys but neither team looks that dominant. These are the top two teams in college football??? If USC wasn't on probation they would wipe the floor with both these teams. Another boring low scoring field goal kicking contest.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Yawn. This is why we we need a playoff system.

And all anyone's going to say is how great this game was. I wanted an up tempo, high powered offense to play that lsu defense...aka ok state.
