I need to ink an apology letter/admit I was wrong when I was irate that we traded Jay Train. I couldn’t imagine how this would be good for this team, but Gase knew better the fans and all sports writers. Drake has made us all eat crow, and it’s tasty, but it’s also shed light on Jays short commings. The blitz pick ups have improved 8000% since the trade. huge plays Monday that were not possible with Jay. The obvious one was spreading Drake out and taking advantage of the LB mismatch with a LB for a huge gain. The other was the huge 3rd down pick up when Jay hit the spin button and Drake kept his route alive, and got the 1st down that lead to Landry’s TD. That wouldn’t happen with Jay, and proved to be one of the biggest plays of the game. Meanwhile Jay dropped 3passes the last two weeks in Philly.

I loved Jay, and was sad to see him go, and I will never forget the magical 2016 season he lead us to, but he was very limited, and held this offense back. The one mistake in the trade was I wish Gase did this last April and got us a 2nd round or better pick, as his he had more value after the pro bowl.

NO need to apologize. Look, when you trade away a pro bowl talent, and a huge part of our playoff run last season, it's hard to trust the reasons for trading "so much" for "so little." It's up to Gase and the Dolphins to prove that such a move was the right move and until the last few games, it didn't appear that the move was the right one to fix the season. A five game losing streak is hard to swallow regardless of the reasons, and honestly I'm still not sure Gase has completely worked his way back into our favor. Why wait until late in the season to use more Man/press? Why does it take so many games to get this team rolling? A lot of questions remain to be answered esp in the off-season and 2018, no need to apologize at all, because I'd hate to see anyone resend an apology 3 days from now.

Especially when you trade him away for a bag of chips

I still think it's funny people think of the 4th round pick we got for Ajayi as a "bag of chips" but the the 5th round pick we gave away for Stephon Anthony as a "pot of gold". Talking about the perceived value of the two picks, no doubt Ajayi has been the better player.

Fingers crossed that we pick a tasty bag of chips and soda

DaJesus, I was also freaking irate! I loved what Ajayi brought to the team on game day. Like you I will remember the great runs that Ajayi made in a Dolphin's uniform. But, it looks like Coach Gase was totally right. It would seem in retrospect that for all the good Ajayi did for the offense there was a lot of bad that went with it. Nobody was offering more so they pulled the trigger with the Eagles for what seems like very small compensation. It took a bit of time but this ship seems righted. This team is really playing complimentary Football at a high level. Cutler, who stepped away from #37 of the Pats and hit a pass downfield for the big first down, was electric and also redeemed himself in a big way. We have the makings of a powerful team that's mostly very young and only getting better. Now, let's keep it going!

Has Ajayi ever caught a pass and run for a first down?

I’m not saying he is right on anything more that the Jay trade, but that was the right move.

How about Drake on the blitz pick up!

Oh man he created violent collisions with his blocking.

He does not F around.

He clobbered two different patriots if not 3 on different ocassions, when picking up blitzes.

And Drake is for real about catching out of the backfield.

Gase' Dolphins SUCKED ALL YEAR! Even there 4 wins SUCKED! So trading Ajayi and getting humiliated on national tv 3 weeks in a row is enough to turn a good man bad!

Ajayi was an A JERK! Everyone on the team wanted to see if he could grow the F up and do what he is capable of - instead he is obviously a bit too full of himself to figure that out yet.

He could not catch the ball! That's either immaturity or poor innate abilities or both.

You are in good company my friend!

Dude, I hear ya. The difference is after my initial pissed off feeling I remembered how mad I was when we let Lamar Miller walk. Then boom, Ajayi took off.

Whoever is in charge of recruiting RBs in the Fins organization is on point. I trust in that dude because he seems to keep getting it right.

Don't ruin it! Let the guy apologize. It may be the start of a trend where fans don't go crazy when decisions are made and hey maybe even interject that the coaching staff knows things that we don't know.
