Who do you like and why?

If you saw these guys play in person write down what your impressions of them were. How they played. Why you would be worried about them etc.

I like Braylon personally:

The whole school thing is BS imo. Some other may feel different but I dont think that because you had another receiver who went to your school a few years ago was a bust means you are going to be. He has the size, speed, hands. He lacks concentration at times and that is his biggest concern. Fact is concentration is something that can be taught and improved on in the NFL. Speed, size, and hands generally arent.

Mike Williams:

Most productive receiver. Amazing hands, incredible size. Ideal possession receiver. But he has had a year off (i dont think that matters). What concerns me more is despite his size he is not physical when trying to get out of a bump and run. He is a marginal route runner and has top end speed questions. So did a lot of good receivers though. But more importantly he is not exceptional explosive or quick to make up for the lack of top end speed and that is what ultimately worries me about this guy.

Mike Williams. He did more in two years than most guys do in 4. And he didn't drop passes. EVER!

I chose Braylon Edwards because he seems more explosive and he didn't have to miss a year of football.

I think the year off will hurt M. Williams in the draft, but I think he will be a heck of an NFL WR, in time.

I think they are both great players but I think Mike Williams is a better fit for us.

I love Mike's size. He is very imposing, and has a mature and tones physique. He is thick, built like Ronnie Brown. At 6'5 and 230lbs he is only, on paper, a bit bigger but he looks considerably bigger. Sometimes players look bigger or smaller than they are, Alex Smith has very nice size on paper at 6'4 220lb, but he looks thin and fragile.

Mike Williams will have a great effect on our O because he is a legit #1 WR, something that I do not believe we have. CC and Booker are top quality #2 guys IMO, they will benefit big time from opposite a guy like MW#1. Williams will draw double teams and is a nightmare to cover. He can jump over any DB in the NFL and has hands like velcro. Some of his catches are genuinely breathtaking. His redzone presence is potentially deadly. In two years at USC he caught 30 TDs.. nuff said.

The arguement about his speed is ridiculous. Braylon runs a 4.4 and Mike runs a 4.55, apparently that 0.15 seconds is the difference between Braylon being super fast and Mike Williams being too slow to play WR. I never saw MW have any problems getting open at USC.

There are little other things that I also like. He is a local boy, although that counts for nothing really. He is a winner, and has won a National Championship. His year off could well be an advantage. It is a year less of him taking hits, and he has proven he will work hard. Prior to last years draft he was at 240, now he is a 225 and has improved his 40 time.

Mike is at the top of my draft board by a mile, he is a great player. I think it's unlikely that we draft him, and a lot more likely that we draft Braylon. However, I think MW will have a great influence on our O, and that he will, in 5 years time, turn out to be the best player in this draft.

Thank you. :D

:yeahthat: :rawk: :rawk:

By the way, Mike Williams is the best player in the 2005 draft. So for me, it's Mike Williams vs. 2005 Nfl Draft.

Williams is better but edwards would be better for the trade down purpose
