Official Cuts, Releases, Rumors Of such League Wide

Cutting Reggie Bush only saves Lions $1.7M which means they really just didn't want him. @RossTuckerNFL

I get the feeling the Dolphins are really trying to get some players to restructure here late before the hammer drops.

The search for a new tight end to replace Jordan Cameron is on.

The Browns will bring in veteran tight end James Casey for a free agent visit, a source confirmed for Northeast Ohio Media Group. ESPN first reported Cleveland's interest.

Casey, 30, was released by the Eagles last week. He'll also visit with the Cardinals, Broncos and Titans, and a total of about eight teams are interested, according to ESPN.

Cameron is set to become a free agent March 10, and although Jimmy Haslam indicated recently that the two sides are talking, Cameron appears poised to hit the free agent market. The Browns also have the option of franchising Cameron at about $8.8 million a year. The deadline to do so is March 2.

if the browns are that willing to move on from cameron there must be some serious medical concussion concerns driving it...as in they don't have faith he can stay healthy...james casey is like dumpster diving

if these other teams are cutting dead weight come on miami let's get the slicing and dicing going...there's easy no brainers to at least start the party with

It seems to have more to do with Cameron not wanting to return than the Browns not wanting him. Can't really blame him.

Let's not forget it is the Browns, their track record on personnel hasn't been stellar.

There will be a day very soon that the Dolphins will dump salary. Doesn't sound like today is that day, however.

maybe or maybe the browns see the writing on the wall and won't pony up given that and he now of course wants out...:idk:

I give Teddy (and his family) credit. He never lived up to #9 but he's had a long NFL career and been in the playoffs many times.
Although he is kind of partial to duckimg out of bounds.

Anybody have the PFF numbers on him or some insight on what his impact would be in this scheme?

2014: -11.6 overall, -10.1 run d, -2 pass rush, -.6 coverage. #52 out of 60 overall.
2013: -10, -1.4, +5.9, -15.1. #47 out of 55 overall.

Ya well the reports out there initially were he wasn't interested in returning so just going off that I doubt they had a choice regardless.

was that before or after his ct scans started looking like they were written on by a 3 year old with crayon??? i'm pretty sure they were very gung ho about him before all of the concussion issues cropped up

that's one contract that's gonna be really interesting to see how the fine print shakes out
