Hi, everybody! :) Our Dolphins will try to overcome their disappointing loss on the road last week, and try to beat the visiting Houston Texans at Landshark Stadium this afternoon in a battle of 7-7 teams in the hunt forplayoff contention.

Texans amazingly leads the all-time regular season series over our Fins 4-0 since Houston re-entered the NFL back in 2002. Dolphins lost to the Texans in the first-ever regular season meeting 20-21 on Opening Week 2003 back on September 7 at Landshark Stadium, losing the next three meetings at Reliant Stadium in Houston 15-17 on October 1, 2006, 19-22 on October 7, 2007, and 28-29 in the most recent meeting back at Houston October 28, 2008. Gary Kubiak is also 3-0 over our Fins since he was named Texans Head Coach.

Ian Eagle and Rich Gannon will announce the live TV game commentary for the NFL On CBS, and locally on WFOR CBS 4 on HD. Only 12% of the country will view the game regionally, including Southern Florida, thr majority of Texas, and parts of Louisiana.

Former Fin players, Jimmy Cefalo, Jim Mandich, and Joe Rose will also announce the live radio game play-by-play and anaysis on flagship station WQAM SportsRadio 560AM in Miami, and The Dolphins Radio Network.

Florida weather is great with sunny and clear skies at 74 degrees is forecasted at Landshark Stadium for today's 1:05 Eastern Standard Time kickoff with 10% precipitaion, 59% humidity, and mild north/northeast winds at 8 miles per hour.

Visiting Texans will dress in the blue jerseys and white pants, while the host Dolphins will wear their white jerseys, and aqua pants.

I wish our Dolphins to play with no injuries and stay in playoff contention with their eighth win of the season today at home. Beat those Texans so you can finally win your first game in this rivalry, and GO DOLPHINS!!!!! :woot::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins:

GO PHINS!!!!!

This time they're gonna get the W! Home field and Ricky are gonna lead us to the playoffs!

Prediction: Chad Henne 25-42, 302 passing yards, 2 TD 2 INT

Ricky Williams: 75 yards rushing, 1 TD

Vontae Davis- 1 INT

Joey Porter/Jason Taylor- 1 sack each

I feel this will be a barn burner. Schaub throwing all over the place, while Henne tries his best to hold on. Finally, I feel after a back and forth matchup, the Dolphins make a defensive stand to end the game, and win 34-31

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Of course we want the Dolphins to win. That's obvious. As far as the other games go, here's who else we want to win (in relative order):

2. Steelers over Ravens
3. Jaguars over Patriots
4. Eagles over Broncos
5. Chiefs over Bengals (slightly helps Denver's SOV, but this is outweighed by opening up an alternate playoff route for us)
6a. Panthers over Giants
6b. Jets over Colts
8a. Bills over Falcons
8b. Buccaneers over Saints
8c. Redskins over Cowboys

These last three are EXTREMELY UNLIKELY to affect us. Still, I don't think we've QUITE locked up the strength of victory advantage over Baltimore (although we almost definitely have), so these games would help in that regard.

11a. Raiders over Browns
11b. 49ers over Lions
11c. Vikings over Bears

Dont want to sound like an a-hole, I really dont. But you really seem like you take your GD thread seriously as you put it 1 or 2 minutes after midnight sharp every week. Could you please try to put some sort of backing into it? I mean, put the injury listings, team stats, maybe some pics from the look-a-like thread... Maybe even your input of what you expect from the game?

Again. I dont want to sound like Im complaining but in some way... I think there should be a little more work and info in there.

P.S. If anyone feels like posting something like: Well if your not happy with this then why dont you do it yourself. ANSWER: I will! but I just feel like this guy really likes doing this thread so I just felt like I'd give him a little heads up first.

for the wildcard we would want the pats to win right? jags win and we have a chance at the division but the for wildcard only we want pats i think.

I can see why you'd say that but I wouldn't see the point in him doing that. No matter the flash this thread has, it still will be the same thread come gameday, which basically, is a venting thread.

Correct. Our best-case scenario, seed-wise, would be to win out and have the Patriots lose out, thus making us the division winners. However, there's no way we could control our own destiny tomorrow in that case, whereas there is a way in the case of New England beating Jacksonville.

Plus, I think it's more likely that Pittsburgh beats Baltimore than it is that Houston beats New England.

hahaha if the dolphins can contain johnson then texans are screwed and it's an easy ride to the dolphins for a nice W
