I thought feeley looked very impressive he had a nice strike to Booker and derrius thompson dropped the nice 30 yard pass same with gus he too looked very impressive. It is the O-line that needs alot of help. Vernon Carey just letting the defensive line blow right by him. Also the bears should have had a safety. Brock Berlin was atrocious throwing a pick when we could have easily been conservative and taken the game into ot. he forced the issue. As far as ricky williams he does show passion for the game but he needs to beef up. no running backs impressed me. lamar gordon horrible, sammy morris horrible, ricky williams horrible, travis minor horrible. Kay Jay Harris looked solid on the passing game. Only had a couple of yards rushing but made a nice stiff arm to move us to the 50 yard line in the closing minute. Our defense is solid but has some flaws. we lack speed at the corner position and we cant stop the inside run. But the biggest thing that I always think hurts us is all the oenalties in crucial situations in the game. Miami has always been known as an aggresive defense since t-buck and his nature. It was third and 6 and we get a pass interference call (horrible call) that sets the bears up on the goalline to win the game. we need to limit our penalties. Im out and wanna hear ur thoughts.

An optimistic post? You have the wrong site my friend.

Yes I agree. People forget that our starting OL almost gave up a saftey. Luckily the LB had a bad tackle.

It may be mental errors, but it appears to be the same ones that they were making last year. I want to see a huge improvement in the OL, or else we can probably write this season off.

Last year the sub par blocking injured 2 QB's (multiple times), 3 of the RB's, and 2 Kickers. Yet they want to blame Feeley?

I thought feeley looked really good on his short time in there, O-line is still doesn't understand you can't let a guy go free every play if you want to win, do they take turns taking plays off or what. Defense wasn't very good last night, the bears didn't score 27 points all of last year, thomas jones tore us up in the first half, we couldn't cover anyone. Hopefully the coaches can improve the players performances, by the regular season. I was not impressed.

I like both QB's, and I see where both of them have some good attributes.

Judging last night, it's easy to say that Gus had the better game. He looked sharp, and the only bad pass I remember ended up being an accidental touchdown, so he gets props for that.

AJ seemed to be very accurate and had good zip on the ball, but he didn't seem to do as well with the pressure as Gus.

I'd say I'm mildly optimistic that our QB this season. If our line were playing better already, then I would upgrade that.

Worst case: we'll have an adequate QB who makes some plays every now and then. The new offensive system is already looking much improved over recent past, and that part of our game is only going to get better as time goes on.

yeah, none of our QBs did anything to make anybody forget Marino, but none of them
were horrible. Even Berlin, who I really did not expect anything from, played well.

And at least all of these guys are better than Fiedler. I mean, any of these 4 can throw to the far sideline without the ball taking so long to get there that the DB has time to stop, take a nap, grab a drink of water, do some stretches, then reach out and pick the ball off and return it for a TD.

:rofl3:

Altogether the QBs were 32 of 47, 353 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT.

That's a 68% completion percentage and a 95.4 QB rating. I wouldn't call that BAD, would you?

That's a good way of looking at it. Loving the optimism in this thread. Seriously.

I don't see a problem withany of our QBs. Frerotte looked good and A.J. didn't play long enough due to our horrible OL. A.J. didn't look bad imho.

Feeley played below par. Gus played above par. No amazing performance, but no terrible performance. It is neck and neck, but I give this one to Gus.

3rd stringer

Feeley holds the ball too long. He locks onto a receiver. He's a decent 3rd stringer and that's about all he is.

I thought ALL the QBs looked good. Frerotte definitely looked the most comfortable v. 1st string though.
