Fede was a good contributor on ST but I kept waiting for him to take that next step at DE..

Ya it never happened. For who he is and where he came from, a 7th round pick out of Marist College, he's had a successful NFL career.

You need guys like him, until another team is willing to pay him to be more than what he is. At which point, buh bye. Just like Damien Williams and Michael Thomas.

See the Cardinals signed wr Brice Butler, former Cowboy. Has had his ups and downs in Dallas but at 6'3 220 with decent speed thought he would have been a good addition prior to the Amendola signing if his asking price was reasonable. I could have lived with a receiving group of Parker, Stills, Wilson, Butler, Grant, Carroo, Ford, Morgan and draft Jester Weah on day 3. Would still be excited about that group even if you swapped out Butler for Amendola, gain experience but lose Butler's size and speed.

Knowing the Pat's they will trade one of their firsts for more future picks

Hopefully they do.

For all those extra draft picks he acquired during a 4-5 year span, he didn't have much to show for it.

But hey, Belichek didn't want to draft Tom Brady either. He's lucky Scott Pioli did.

@ArmandoSalguero: The Dolphins are releasing backup QB Brandon Doughty, per league source. Doughty is a 2016 7th-round pick who spent past two seasons on practice squad.

he was never even close to good enough

Damn it, another All Pro let go by the Dolphins. Can this off-season get any worse.

What killed Landry's value was his contract status. Landry was a second rounder who has way outplayed that status. He's proven so you would think on the surface he would demand at least a second round pick. Productive players who are still young and dependable (health) have higher value than what they were drafted at.

However, Landry demanding so much money for the position he plays killed what Miami could get. On top of this is the timing. If Miami would have traded him last off season perhaps they would have got better compensation. Just my thoughts.
