Leafs news...

Leafs goalie Raycroft is excited after signing three-year deal. Raycroft, 26, will be paid $1.8 million in 2006-07, $2 million in 2007-08 and $2.2 million in 2008-09.

Gary Roberts seems to be fading from the Maple Leafs' picture, while Anson Carter moves in. General manager John Ferguson did not sound optimistic yesterday on a Roberts trade with the Florida Panthers. "There is mutual interest with the Leafs," Carter's agent, Pat Brisson, said last night, adding that three teams want Carter.

Leafs currently have about $4 million left to sign four more players to reach their 23-man roster limit. Included in that is 2 more defensemen, imo probably Ian White and Carlos C for their offensive skills

Also, Lindros wants to remain in T.O. but is still unsure whether the Leafs wants him back...
