You can count this as the second week in a row he proves he is The Village Idiot!!!

Does a blown call cost the official? They should fine the zebras for the fumble.

all the officials are graded in terms of the calls they make, both negatively and positively graded

I got an A in gym once. Good thing I showed up!

I forgot to add, I won the "good sportsmanship" award that year. It was a proud moment.

the trippin call was a lil ticky tacky...but it was a trip. my problem early in the game, ginn was out of bounds after a kickoff return and the defender on the ground held onto ginns leg, even to the point of standing up with it. unfortunately ginn hates contact thus afraid to flop and hit ground.

as for the fumble...yea by rule it wasnt challengeable....but by rule it was clearly a catch and should have been call on field.

its some type of checkmark system the NFL uses.. each checkmark is worth a number of points.. They add, or take away checkmarks.. I guess they are all diffferent levels of suckiness.

I also remember that out of bounds love affair with the fast feet of TG. If he doesn't fall it doesn't count as a late hit?

I hear you. I am just frustrated. It just makes one wonder what kind of real checks and balances exist in this area. Do people get fired as a result. If they do, who steps in and are they any better?

When I was a kid in the 80s I seem to recall that NFL refs had a very good reputation (maybe because Shula was on the competition committee :)).

Yes, but the only penalty is whether or not they ref in the playoffs and SB. They should be subject to fines, just like players and coaches.

Houston should have challenged as it was clearly a catch, they would have gained a free 4 yards.
