Many people wonder about the relative value of certain positions. These lists provide a pretty good barometer for what positions are high priority like QB, and which positions are lower priority. Not surprisingly, the top 4 on both lists is the same.
Those are the cornerstones. But that doesn't really tell the whole story. Within those groups there are higher and lower priority positions. Such as within DE, the high priority positions are pass rushers. Within WR the high priority positions are outside receivers. Within CB the high priority position is boundary corners.
The plan is to get out QB in 2020. We believe we have a pretty good WR corps already. That's why I see us re-signing our top young CB, Xavien Howard, and drafting a DE or two in this draft. That would address at least one person in each of the top 4 cornerstone positions.
