Official: Wake's Achilles Torn/Out for the Season

Woah.....Derrick Shelby you're up! The media will blow this up but considering our depth, it's not the end of the world.

Cam handled it like a champ too.

Compared to Arian Foster who was visibly in agony and crying hysterically.

I think Shelby can hold up some on running plays but we just lost our best past rusher.

This is the real loss of the week...

If Armando is correct were losing James for multiple games also, which means get ready for more Fox on tbe O Line.

Dude impressed me. Watching the replay, even after it popped he kept trying to rush the passer with just one leg. It wasn't pretty but he tried. True competitor. Hope he can heal up for next year.

When you start having issues with your legs, like hamstring issues, your body will start to overcompensate, and a more devastating injury will occur. It was only a matter of time.

His career could be over, but he is a freak of nature, who is highly discipline with his nutrition, so I wouldn't be surprised if he came back to be effective. But Father Time is undefeated, and he's at the age where it might be over.

Really Feel for the guy. We all love Cam Wake around here. Great example of a professional, this sucks for him and the team.

good point, lets hope he can recover and come back at a level where he can still compete and be an effective pass rusher like he is

Could see him coming back as a situational pass rusher with a different contract of course, assuming both parties agree he hasn't lost too much from the injury after he rehabs. I mean they migt have taken that approach anyway even without this injury considering his cap number.
