Great World Cup, and some great discussion. Thanks for both.

:chuckle: thank god we got him signed before the tournament, his stock is much higher now
Yeah, I heard Robben was not going to move to United as had been speculated. Let's see what LVG has up his sleeve now.

Ya robben was ruled out ages ago. He has a great situation in Munich.

We are currently playing a very slow game of hardball with Juventus for Vidal. We had deals in place for Kroos and Fabergas when LVG took over but he said no to both... I really hope he knows what he is doing lol

We tried to her DI Maria but PSG offered him 8 million euros a year after tax. (And the French socialist gov tax that rate of income at like 70%). So that one went nowhere ..... The joys of arab oil money

We also need a cb... Or two.

I bought my tickets for LVGs first premier league game today. Up in the nosebleeds but I will be there

Lahm is the captain, highly regarded and just experienced the biggest achievement he'll ever have in his career. May as well retire on your own terms rather than having Low give him the Michael Ballack treatment and not select him for future tournaments. It wouldn't surprise me if he was an emergency option if the Germans have serious issues on defense in the next 2 years but Germany tends to crank those guys out and I'm sure they have a few youngsters ready to go.

Lahm won't be immortalized like Matthaus and Beckenbauer, but he'll go down as one of the great rightbacks in German history.

Little late (crazy couple of weeks), but congrats greasy! I'm having WC withdrawals now.
