Offseason boredom: Earl Mitchell is clearly a WWE fan

There's quite a few Dolphins I see talking about wrestling on twitter. AJ Francis is a huge fan, goes to matches all over but he is a Seahawk now.

He oughta join it cause a Dlineman he blows. Shouldve been cut this offseason.

Welp he had his most success under Vance Joseph in Houston and that was next to Mario Williams. Reasonable enough cost to stick although I will agree he was a big disappointment last season.

Figured he was not getting cut once he was on the Mario Williams "Welcome to Miami" phone call and aided in the visit to bring in Mario.

I understand he was a disappointment, but if you cut him, who do you replace him with? Granted, his value as a starter isn't great, but he is a high effort guy who is an exceptional athlete and can very much benefit the team on a rotational basis.

Only had 3.5 sacks in Houston in 4 seasons and none last year... How is he a starter in this league???

He wasn't bad either, he was a solid rotational guy who performed well during his tenure. Truth is, he is not a good fit next to Suh, he would be best playing Suh's position but he is cheap enough to provide a veteran presence in the DT rotation.

Personally, I thought Soliai was a better fit next to Suh, but the connection of Williams/Joseph makes sense and we'll see if Mitchell has a bounce back year.

Glad to see sack stats is the barometer for DT. Paul Soliai has 5.5 in 9 seasons . . . Yet many wanted him back here.

Big Earl is set for a bounce back year. Let's hope he brings some of that WWE passion to the gridiron. BTW - anybody else notice that the big fella presents well on video.

He was an ok dlineman that we quite overpaid, he wasnt worth 4.75 million a year, might as well had kept Starks or Solai
