Practice Squad
As it is that time of year for everyone to be the GM for their team, heres a thought that just popped into my mind. What are your thoughts/ideas/criticisms of it?
We are obviously in the market for a QB, Peyton has been my favorite QB since Marino, but I dont know if I am on board with signing him. Similarly I am not that convinced by Flynn. I think our best option is to find something in the draft. There seems to be a pattern developing here because I am also not sure about Griffin, but he is intriguing to say the least. So my proposal is, if Ireland and Philbin are in on Griffin St. Louis is most likely in the market for a WR, among other things. Barring them signing any of the free agents out there would anyone be opposed to us trading Marshall, our 1st and a 3/4th for the 2nd overall pick? From there we can sign one of the many respectable free agents, or draft a wr in the 2nd or 3/4 whichever we dont trade. This way we would not break the bank on offense, but still have a young promising team, and we could make our marquee free agent mario williams or someone to push our defense over the top. Just a random thought I wanted opinions on. I mean obviously its all a pipe dream, as most of our threads will be for the next 2 months, but thats part of the fun of being a fan.
