i think in free agency we need to go after 1 of the big corners that r in free agency
1.nnambi ashoumugha (if hes not tagged again)
2.Chris Gamble (hes a stud)
3.duanta robinson (hes better than neone we got)
in the draft lets get JAMES LAURINITIS (spelling) hes a physical lb a great compliment to Channing Crowder, then a physical olb to compliment Joeyy
tell me what you guys think.......

Don't even think about laurinitis...he'll be picked way before our pick comes up

I think we pickup a guard and more depth for the defensive line. I think we will address the secondary in the draft since our current guys are playing much better. If there is a big reciever in FA than we might go after him as well.

I personally like Samson, but I am not so sure our front guys do. They tend to like big centers and I think if we can find a solid center that fits what they are wanting then I think they will try for him. I also think we could use a FS, large WR and LB. Also a TE that could stretch the field might also be a consideration.

TE's that can stretch the field? Thats an oddity. I'll take a TE that can run/pass block before i start looking for somone whos fast.

I am feeling opposite. I think we draft a LB, guard and NT, everything else we pick up in free agency.

I think the 2010 draft we address DB and WR.

no way, you have it opposite...
DB is clearly the biggest need. LB need's upgrading too

i can't say what position we will draft first round... it'll be a postion of need (DB,NT,LB) but it will be based on whos left... im guessing clint sintim or victor harris someone like that...

we need to address DB in free agency as proirity number one, also Oline depth..
WR is somehting we do in round 2 or 3, this year. there are some solid prospects in those rounds...

We had this discussion in like 5 other threads. A run blocking guard is our biggest need bar none. LB is parcells biggest want and our outstanding NT needs to mentor somone before he starts collecting social security (sometime before the end of next year)

You are thinking about the flash we need.(and we do need it) I am talking about the bare minimum we need to move from being a decent team to being a good one.

after watching games, its obvious this team needs a pass defense. we used to have the best pass defense for years (Madison/Surtain/Walker/Marion).

our rush defense needs SOME work. im pretty content with our offense, perhaps another wide receiver would work.

but this offseason we NEED to sign a good CB and a good FS.

i dont care if the Raiders tag Asomugha, we need him. The only reason we lost to the Cardinals and Texans at least, was our pass defense. We could have easily won those 2 games if we didnt give up big pass plays.

Im still wondering if Chad Johnson wants out of Cincy, if so, id get him in the off-season. That would complete our offense i think. Im pretty content with the OL, give the new guys some time to shine and im sure theyll do great.

btw james lauranitis cant shed blocks, and is very overated, only way we pick him up is if we win the superbowl and he's there at pick 32.

we definatly need a few young players in our secondary but we cannot go from a decent team to a great team in one year. I see this team 2 drafts/free angency periods away from being great.

I agree with your 3 position needs BUT from history I think BP knows how important a very strong secondary is. Remember he drafted Milloy and Law in one draft and that helped turn NE around. I wouldn't rule out secondary early in the draft. I just saw Ferguson signed a BIG extension so NT might not be an early need.
