Think the obvious plan is sign 1 good OG in FA and draft one in the 2nd. Would be the most ideal depending on how the stars align around the 13th pick. Definitely dont see us signing 2 starters in FA though

I used to think that too but we would then be pinning our hopes on Paul at LT and I am not convinced.

I think Brown and Scherff would be affordable FA signings. They are both much better than who we had.

Banks takes over at LT if he is available and Paul takes Lamm's role as backup swing OT.

Paul is starting at LT and had the tools to be better than Banks at tackle. I’d still take banks for guard though.

Love Evan Brown, great scheme fit and should only be around 5 million a year

Don’t love Scherff. Expensive stop gap. I’m here to fix the like permanently, not do the oline shuffle every offseason.

With that said give me Wynn back, cheap good guard with tackle experience and pair him with Brown for LG.

I’m taking a flyer on James Daniels at rg. Coming off injury will be similar ballpark as Scherff but much higher ceiling and only 27.

We can then shy away from line at 13 however if Membou or Campbell maybe even banks fall to us I still probably take them. They can work in long term at either guard spot while being a contingency plan for either tackle as Jackson is often injured and Paul is an unknown.

I’d also bang on Lamm’s door and ask him to give it another year at swing tackle rather than retire.

we have 0 safeties, 1 IDL, 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 healthy edge, negative cap space

which makes this an unreasonable plan at best

are you wanting Banks because you think he's the best OL on the board or are other already gone? I ask cause I'd rather draft Campbell or Membou at 13 if they’re there

woof on those pff rankings so incredibly bad.

Banks at #13 is a big old reach just like Chop last year.

Banks has been a consensus top 15 pick since last years draft ended. He then proceeded to have a great year winning the award for best trench player (including both offense and defense) in college football then finished with. Great combine. Please explain how banks would ever be considered a reach?

Also not sure when making a point, you name a DROY finalist as a reach. I’m going to read you a list of the players that had a higher pressure/sack/hit/hurry rate than chop.

Myles Garret
Micah Parsons
Trey Hendrickson
Nick Bosa
Alex Highsmith

Here’s also win%
Myles Garret
Micah Parson
Nick Bosa
Trey Hendrickson
Jared Verse

Chop is already in elite company after a year

I would draft Banks because if Campbell and Membou are gone then Banks would be the best OL available.

Another reason I would draft Banks is because I am not convinced Paul will be able to play LT at a high level even though thats his natural position.

If Campbell is there at 13 then I would take him.

I think LT is very hazy right now with Armstead's future being uncertain and he is usually injured even if he does return and Paul's uncertainty if he will be ready to take on the starting LT role.
