Bored at work, so just thought I'd put together a quick look at who I'd take in the upcoming draft. Let me know what you think!

First of all, I would address most of our OL concerns via free agency, so that we can address other needs in the draft. Not sure how much cap space we have, so if someone could tell me, I'd appreciate it.

Sign Brandon Albert on the left side and Alex Mack at Center (then move Pouncey to one of the guard spots where he would be tremendous using his athleticism on pulling blocks).

Re-Sign: Grimes
Keller (if healthy)
Starks
Carroll
Clemons
Marlon Moore (as depth and special teams)
Spitler (as depth and special teams)
Danny Watkins
Will Yeatman
R.J. Stanford (as depth and special teams)

Do not re-sign: Clabo
McKinnie
Incognito
Solia (I would love to have him, but it's not realistic to re-sign both him and Starks)
Jerry
Justin Rogers

Cut: Wheeler and Daniel Thomas. Not really sure if this would make sense salary cap-wise, I just want those two knuckleheads off my team. lol. Oh and cut Jonathan Martin. HE'S A SNAKE.

Draft:
Rd 1: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville: Dude is a flat out playmaker and lays the hammer down on people. Could slot in the starting lineup from Day 1. Clemons can stay or go. If he stays, great...gives us depth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDEEAUMJ0oo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO6FQr1Y9zY

Rd 2: Tre Mason, RB, Auburn: Compares favorably to Ray Rice. One cut runner, assuming we're sticking with the ZBS, would be an ideal fit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_jaPIrNPfQ

Rd 3: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia: Coach Lazor is likely familiar with him, as I believe he would have been OC when this kid was recruited to Virginia. Mammouth body with nimble feet, just needs to keep his weight in check. I would play him on the right side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOpHQtK1bHI

Rd 4: Max Bullough, LB, Michigan State: Third Team All-American, but his stock may be hurt by the fact that he was suspended for the Rose Bowl. The leading tackler on a Michigan State squad that was one of the best defenses in the country. Two-time team captain, called the defensive signals at MSU and was dubbed the quarterback of the defense by coordinator Pat Narduzzi, who took it a step further, saying, "He is a computer on the field." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIU-U7rseGU

Rd 5: Brandon Thomas, G, Clemson: Thomas is an athletic offensive lineman that shows good mobility. He is a tall and lean football player that is impressive looking. Comes out of his stance quickly and immediately gets into the defender; gives good initial punch. Plays too high sometimes... No highlight video available.

Rd 6: Assuming this is the pick that was traded for McKinnie

Rd 7: Garrison Smith, DT, Georgia: As much as I'd like, we can't afford to keep Solia and Starks, so we need to draft a replacement there. I'd keep Starks as he is more versatile. Garrison Smith is mainly a run stuffer, which is the big thing we'd lose if Solia leaves. No highlight video available.

Currently we are at $36-39 million under the cap with the rollover. Cutting Moore and Patterson free up $10,000,000. So now we have almost $50,000,000 in free space.

Sign:
---Brandon Albert
---Jarius Byrd

Re-Sign:
Grimes
Solia
Carroll
Marlon Moore (as depth and special teams)
Spitler (as depth and special teams)
Jerry
Will Yeatman
R.J. Stanford (as depth and special teams)

Do not re-sign:
Clabo
McKinnie
Incognito
Starks
Clemons

Cut:
---DT, Matt Moore (paying him more than our starting QB), Dimitri Patterson (if he isn't healthy) and J Martin (or try to trade him for a 5th or 6th rounder...take what you can get).
---Wheeler I want gone but costs too much to cut. Let it play out under a new LB coach. Our guy that just left turned LBs into garbage.

Draft Needs: G, T, TE, RB, Back up QB, DT

Rd 1: Eric Ebron, athletic TE. Him and clay together. Yes please

Rd 2: OG Cyril Richardson

Rd 3: RB Bishop Sankey

Rd 4: DT Timmy Jernigan

Rd 5: OT Joel Bitonio

Rd 7: QB Keith Price

that's interesting but you would really have some coverage issues and guys who wear targets in it with that starting lb core...i think some of those free agents from other teams will cost more than that but maybe you have gotten a sense for the market this year and it looks a lot like last years after the day 1 rush

easleys a good looking player when his knees hold up...and there is the rub...

anyways i agree with pretty much every one of those cuts you listed...exception being maybe garner as depth and i'd have concerns about evan dietrich smith stout wise at center...i like the strief signing but i think it would cost more

And why in the world is Moreno taking a one year deal

Although that linebacking core wouldn't be good in coverage, it would still be an upgrade over the Wheeler/ Ellerbe combo. As far as Strief, Sebastian Vollmer signed for about 4 million average per year, and Strief is 30 or 31.

Wheeler and Ellerbe will not be cut. It makes no sense. We have to pay them 5 million+ this year whether they are on the team or not.

Wheeler and Ellerbe suck but we're stuck with them for a year. Oh well.

No thanks

You act like this is some idiotic thought. Many people on here support cutting Ellerbe and Wheeler with a June 1st designation. Rather pay that dead money this year and next year.

I'm with you on getting Ebron. This guy will be a something special. He is seriously a beast. As much as we need o-linemen, if Ebron is available, we can NOT pass on him. THAT would be a major blunder than this entire message board will question for years to come. No doubt about it.

I can't see Ebron getting past the Jets at #18

yeah but vollmer was coming off back issues and medical concerns and imo he still gave the pats a discount...that said i dont think strief is the same level player vollmer was coming into free agency...so that may help and the age should as well but then he becomes almost a stop gap solution for us...strief had some issues in pass pro vs the seahawks...the left tackle rookie armstead shows like a keeper for them and was on my 2nd round target list for miami last year...

and you could put pretty much cardboard cutouts in there and get better run play inside and off tackle than we got from wheeler and ellerbe this year...wheeler was as bad a starting clean lb as i saw this year other than when the bears installed khaseem green into their lineup due to injuries...that and the depth lb play for the cowboys was horrid when they had to go to that group...but ours was our freakin first stringers...

if they cut em june 1st i don't have an issue with it but short of remaking this lb core we are gonna be in the same predicament again after next season...i think we could cut one wheeler obviously and roll with ellerbe and an instincts guy next to him...where it will come from though i don't know....it's not like teams are gonna let that go in its prime

ny guess is we see a lot more jelani jenkins and more subpar instinctual play as a result
