Pretty clear that even at 7-9, this team sucked. Everyone agrees. One look at Adam Gase and you could tell that the tuned him out. Offense was crappy, but there was some spots to build upon. Tannehill has the worst pocket presence I have ever seen. He seems like a good guy and not a finger pointer, but you dont win playoff games with him. Tunsil is your best player. No question. We need to build the offensive line. Offensive line makes skill postion players, not the other way around.

We need to totally rebuild the defense. We got bullied the season. Kiko Alonso is always out of position. Always. He needs to be cut.

Cut Quinn, Alsonso, Branch, Hayes. You have to keep jones and Mcdonald. Salary cap is just too much to cut them. Quinn did more than Mario Williams, but that isnt saying much.

We need to toughen up basically. build the defense, from the inside out. We have the secondary.

Tunsil is not our best player, yoy dont keep 2 strong safetys. We have 1 cb last time i checked youneeded
2 plus a slot so basically you have no idea what your talking aboutYou are correct about the O-LINE

Plan to suck next year. Only plan we need. Get ready. Actually to add to that, the worse the Dolphins suck the better.

Draft wise. Draft as many big ugly O and D lineman as possible or just focus on D. Sign zero free agents unless they are young and cheap. Trade or release Tanny. Put Falk in at QB and see what he is made of. Turn the season into a extended preseason audition for 2020. Draft Herbert, Tua, or Fromm and O talent players in 2020 draft. Sign talent free agents. Succeed

Worse case scenario for my plan? Well 2019 sucks and we lose. But we get to see young talent and feel excited about future. Maybe Drake and Ballage do it when given the chance? I think they can! Land 1 to 3 starting lineman and 1 or 2 backups. Falk succeeds and we have a young QB who is (the future). The big men on the lines are what makes the machine work. So no bad there. If Falk succeeds, we have an amazing trade chip in a year or two.

All that, plus lose every game this season so that we can draft a generational QB that we haven’t had since Marino in 2020. Whatever coach you hire needs to be on board with that, because that’s the only true way out of this 20 year maleise...

Hang on a minute.

Y'all saying tank in 2019 to get a high pick; since when did having a high pick guarantee you make the right choice???

Plenty of top picks fail. That's a fact. And our record at using top picks is pretty bad.

So what happens if your top 3 QB doesn't work out, then what? Wait another 7 years?

No thank you.

You are absolutely right. Nothing is guaranteed. We drafted number 1 several years ago and chose Jake Long over Matt Ryan. We drafted number 2 I think under Saban and drafted Ronnie brown over Aaron rodgers. Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell were absolute busts, all this is true. It doesn’t matter if you don’t draft the right player.

However, Andrew Luck was a very highly rated qb prospect and it looks like he was everything that people thought he was going to be. Patrick Mahomes put up huge numbers in college and is doing it in the pros. Tua looks like he has that kind of talent, and whilst nothing is guaranteed, all I’m saying is if we want to solve the problem of replacing that big sucking sound we have had at QB since Marino retired and next year is The best chance we could have in ages to win big at that position, but we would have to lose just about every game. So, I ask you, would you rather do that, or finish 6 and 10 or 8 and 8? Because what can we expect with no qb on this roster and more holes than Swiss cheese in both sides of the ball next year? I say who cares about next year from a win loss standpoint? But that’s just me...

That all depends on who is picking. The higher you pick the better chance to get "your guy" rather than trading future picks to move up

Tank for Tua or Flop for Fromm.

Pretty simple, and trade some picks if possible for more ammo next year. You build around a franchise qb and we don't have one. An ideally you get one fresh out of school so the cost is low for 3-5 years and spend on talent around them. That's it, stop band aids actually rebuild. Take a bad bad season on purpose to position team to get the best qb in draft in 2020

You don't hire a new coach and ask or expect him to tank. Not happening.
