Ogunleye cut by Texans

No? have you even seen him play in Chicago. 2, 9+ sack seasons and 4 5+ sack seasons, a couple safties, a couple picks. He had freakin 6 FF in 2007, 12 in total in 6 years with the bears, which is outstanding, and all without JT.

It was a horrible trade giving him up for freakin Marty Booker.

He was doing fine until he broke his leg in 2009.. Has since dropped off the map

I agree 100% that the trade was stupid but you can't act like he was by himself on that D. There were some studs that all played together. And yes, thats exactly what I meant, he was stud mainly b/c he played with a bunch of stud players both here and in Chicago. I don't think he was a bad player I just think he benefited from the players around him on both teams.

Can you imagine what Cameron Wake today would have done if he played with either of those defenses

Yet another 'brilliant' move by Wrong Way Dave (Wrongstadt...wrong for the Phins)

Considering the horse **** QB Booker had throwing him the football, I'd say he did fairly decent here.

Isn't he Nigerian royalty or some such thing? He'll be fine.

You can make the same arguement about EVERY player in the NFL.. James Harrison, Demarcus ware, Jason Babin, dwight Freeneym and so on...

Ogunleye was good but never great, and when merely good players get old at a demanding position, they become not so good players when great players merely become good players (like JT). He certainly benefited from JT, but Ogunleye deserves props for what he did regardless. There have been lots of DE's with great pass rushers opposite them that haven't paced the league in sacks.
