I think he went a little overboard with his bashing of his own team. He gave them less credit then they deserve!
 
Baskin rants regularly about the Bills on this site. I've never seen a "column" of his that had even a glimmer of optomism. I'm not sure that he's even a fan at all, unless it's one who has become seriously deranged by Patriots-envy. He brags about how he hasn't lived in Buffalo or WNY for 30 years, laughs at fans who support the team by buying tickets (of course, for him, that's moot, right?), pushes his own agenda with inaccuracies and downright lies (as in claiming Wilson was a "meddlesome" owner during the Donahoe era), etc.

Believe this guy as much as you would the guy who's been sitting at the end of the bar with a bottomless mug of beer in his hand since the bar opened. He's the consumate anti-homer.

great way to put it...he sounds like some of us towards the end of the Wanstache days.
