Possible SOLUTION to the "Donald Lee Sucks" Problem...

This is all I've been hearing from camp reporters.

Donald Lee will not get the job done.


Well, we just may be in luck. As some of you know, I work in New Orleans for the sports media.

The Saints have 5 TE's on their roster, and they will have to cut a pretty decent one.

Their depth chart goes as:

1. Ernie Conwell
2. Zach Hilton
3. Shad Meier
4. Boo Williams
5. Lamont Hall

I think Boo Williams may be in danger of getting cut. If so, we should definitely take a look at him. He would be a major upgrade from Donald Lee.

His hands are way better than Lee's, and he's put up really good numbers before. The reason he may be let go, is that he's always on Haslett's bad side. Surprise, surprise, Haslett may be getting rid of a player who he doesn't get along with. AGAIN.

At least one of these guys will be let go, and we should take a look.
 
Boo is an oversized wide receiver. That guy can't block his way out of a paper bag. Solid receiver, but below average blocker.
 
Wow... Boo Williams would be a huge pick-up and make our 2 tight-end sets a much greater threat!!

I'd take him over an average-blocker, no-hands Donald Lee.

OK, how do you know? Care to explain???

I've been with that team every day. They just signed Meier, and Haslett is not happy with Boo Williams at all.

Let's just say they don't cut him. They will have to cut one good TE from that team, and we should be on the look-out when they do.

He was their #1 TE on their depth chart last year. They won't just cut him.

I didn't say they WON'T cut a TE. I just said it won't be Boo Williams.
 
Yeah Boo Williams would be a heck of an upgrade to Lee...but I seriously dont believe he will be released.

Mike, I'm telling you. I've been to every practice of theirs and heard the insiders.

HASLETT IS NOT HAPPY WITH BOO WILLIAMS. Zach Hilton, a 6'8" unknown has replaced him as Conwell's backup.

Shad Meier is even in front of Williams, and he's hurt.

Don't for one second think that Boo is immune to Haslett's cuts. Haslett is hell bent on getting rid of players he doesn't like.

I heard he hasnt been the same since he took a hit in a bowl game 2 years ago.
But I also heard before he took that hit that he was headed to being a top pick so I think he will need time because he is still hesitant. I can try to find the hit that he took.

I just want to ask you something. And I'm being perfectly reasonable here.

Why do you insist that you know more about the situation when I've talked with people in the Saints organization every day?

If you told me you were involved in a business's ongoings frequently, and you had some inside info, I would not question you.
 
Will the Saints cut Boo Williams? I don't think you can answer that without knowing his contract figures. How much is he supposed to make this upcoming season?




*edit* Haslett is a dick, so if he did decide to cut him i wouldnt be surprised if it was one of the final cuts he made.

Because he won't be cut!!!! That is all I said, and you are blowing this up into something huge. BOO WILLIAMS WILL NOT BE CUT!

You are saying he "may" be cut. Sure, he "may" be cut. But in the end, he won't be! I know the NFL and he won't be cut. Period, end of story.
