I want you guys to come up with what Henne has done wrong since taking over the team as the starting qb. I don't get you guys.
The guy takes over and is 3-2 as a starter and really should be 4-2 (saints game). While he has thrown a few pics, the one against the chargers is crap because he never practiced and was thrown into a situation pretty much unprepared and at a critical juncture in the game. The pic that against the Saints falls squarely on Ginn and wasn't a td anyway.
Now looking at what he has done since he took over. The guy has done a damn good job at protecting the ball. Since we really are a power and sometimes finesse running team, you don't ask much from your quarterback. He has pretty much done everything we have asked. He isn't turning the ball over, he is making downfield reads, he isn't fumbling and he is SMARTLY throwing the ball away when there is no play.
Did I also mention that our wideout corps is complete trash? I mean the guy has really NOTHING but possession wideouts to work with and Bess/Camarillo would be 3rd/4th string on other teams. Haynos is getting more action than Fasano (that is sad) and hartline is rookie.
So, what exactly are you guys bitching about? Are you mad because he isn't lighting it up out there? Are you mad because the Jake Grove isn't doing a good job at reading the defense and making the line calls at times? I mean seriously, what really are you guys bitching about. If the guy was throwing picks like Jake Delhomme or looking like Derek Anderson, I would concede that he is really struggling. I wish I had the stats for dropped passes while Henne has been the qb. I am sure it is staggering. Yet that is Henne's fault right?
I just don't get you guys. While I will relinquish the notion that he needs to do a better job at pre-snap reads of the defense, that is something that most rookies struggle with until they gain more experience.
Our dolphins have built themselves up in some places and really are struggling at key positions such as WR, LB and FS. Rome wasn't built in a day and coming from 1-15, after really sitting down and evaluating how we have put ourselves in great position (DE's, CB's, QB, RB, OL) for the future through the draft (upside at many of those positions is very good), I think the F.O. (besides the WR situation) has done a damn good job with what they inherited.
