...it is SOOOOOOOO gratifying to see Chris Chambers finally put it all together and perform to near his level of talent.

The kid still had one ball hit him in the hands in the end zone and bounce off, but every player has those once in a while, and with his performance the past few games Chambers has earned the right to a clean slate.

It's really too bad that Frerotte is so damned inaccurate, because with some better throws Chambers could have had at least 3-4 more catches today.

I'm really excited to see Chambers carry this success into next season, especially if Saban can manage to find us a better veteran stop-gap QB to take Frerotte's place while we groom a young gunslinger.

Good to see

Gus is off target at time.

but this is his 1st year playing in a passing system..

Good to See

bounce off chambers hands?

More like he stretched our fully for the ball and it grazed it hands but was nearly uncatchable

glad to see chris have his breakout season

Sorry, but this season has been 100% a reflection of Frerotte's whole career - one good game, 2-3 bad games...and so on. And after as many years as he's had to improve on that, I wouldn't count on him changing for the better. In fact, he made at least 2 really bonehead plays out there today that a vet QB like him should never make.

Besides, this thread is about Chris Chambers - let's celebrate his accomplishment - if he holds this form permanently, it could be huge for the team in the years to come.

You obviously lack TIVO, my friend. I looked several times at a lot of the plays today, even in frame-by-frame, and it was eye-opening.

well Nabo you got the the wrong point my friend.
This is a passing 1st offense to me.
I know Gus is not accurate

but the past years
How piss would you have been if the QB ,
could not get you the ball, ever if you was open.

I sorry we all know are felt like CC was a top flight WR
who just needed a chance.

Dude, this is off-topic but I have noticed in a BUNCH of threads that you are a very big advocate of Vince Young and I personally think the highlight video you chose to "sell" people on him is horrible. Don't get me wrong, I like him, he QBs my favorite team, lol. That being said I wouldn't mind if we got him, he just isn't my 1st choice. Anyway, everyone's knack on him is how he "can't throw" and "lacks a good depp ball and accuracy and the brain to play QB" etc etc. Now I personally know it's not as bad as people make it out because I watch all their games, but for people who aren't too familiar with him and read all the knacks on his arm and then watch yuor video, it doesn't do much to dispell those rumors. I atched the video, which is quite long for a highlight video to begin with, and it seemed like a good 85% of that video was him running. That's all good, they are good runs, but it does NOTHING to dispute the fact that he is a "poor man's Vick". If anything that proves the point of people that say he is a "run first" QB. You gotta get, or make, a new highlight video that is mostly passing with a few of his runs scattered in, that would be the proper way to show Vince Young to the people that aren't too familiar with him.

As for Chambers, all I can say is I hope this carries over to next year and I hope he is able to keep this rythm up even if we get a new QB.

It is true about Frerotte's accuuacry, much like Fiedler. What puzzles me more is that he seems to make those circus catches when he's no buisness making them and doesn't on ones that seem he should. Oh well, I guess they even each other out tho.

i have a chambers jersey and i am a big fan of chris chambers . its a shame he has had 6 different qbs throwing to him , for it is difficult to delevope consistancy like this. chris is a good guy and ihear he does a lot of charity work and stuff. i wish there was a chambers jersy in navy blue cause i would buy it.

chambers is the {edit}.
